Meghan Markle is planning a trip back to the USA to visit her family without her husband, Prince Harry according to published reports. The Duchess of Sussex is looking to visit both New York City and Los Angeles so she can visit some of her close friends. It will also be the first time she will get to see her mother, Doria Ragland, since her royal wedding to Prince Harry back in May.
Apparently, Meghan Markle is planning the trip because it might be her last time before she gets pregnant with her first child. She and Harry are looking to start a family sooner rather than later, and that’s why she wants to see her mother before becoming one herself.
One source close to the situation recently told Us Weekly, “She’s planning a personal, unofficial trip this summer to see family and friends,” while also adding, “Expect to hear the pitter-patter of a little prince or princess in 2019.”
In other words, Meghan wants to get a trip home out of the way before focusing on her pregnancy. Should she get pregnant in the coming months, Meghan will be discouraged from traveling too far away from her new home in London.
Now, whether or not Meghan will visit her father Thomas Markle Sr. or any of her family members while in the U.S. remains to be seen although according to some royal critics, it’s doubtful. Thomas has said that he hasn’t spoken to his daughter ever since he first appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk about Meghan’s new life and what he thinks of the royal family. Thomas has done several interviews since then and apparently, this is the reason why Meghan has caught him off from her life.
While many royal observers believe that Meghan’s trip to the U.S. could help fix her broken relationship with her father, at this point it looks like she wants nothing to do with him or the rest of the Markle family for that matter. There’s a chance that Meghan might do what she’s been doing all along and that’s completely ignore them.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about Meghan Markle’s future travel plans back to the United States. In the meantime, don’t forget to check back with CDL for all the latest news and updates on Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the rest of the royal family right here.
