Clarke cleans Octavia’s infection from the worms. Maddie watches in fascination. Octavia tells them she needs to go talk to her people. Clarke reminds Maddie that they cannot tell the others what Maddie is. They may want to replace Octavia with her and she doesn’t want to get caught up in a power struggle.
One of Octavia’s people tells her that their environment isn’t promising. The soil is bad. Bellamy interrupts. He is with Echo. Octavia banished her 6 years ago. She tells her she has 24 hours to get out or she will have to fight in the arena. A ship flies overhead. Cargo drops. Charmaine announces over a loudspeaker that anyone that wants to join her can for food and support. She encourages them to leave Wonkru. Octavia is angry.
Charmaine sits and eats with Marcus. They talk about Abby and her work on finding her people a cure. Meanwhile, Bellamy and Clarke talk Octavia into trying to save their people in the valley.
Cooper and Octavia are sparring. Bellamy wants in. Cooper hands over her sword. As they fight, he tells her that if Echo leaves he is going with her. He hits her in the leg and sweeps her to the ground.
Echo packs. Bellamy tells her he is coming with her. She tells him no. Octavia comes in. She tells Echo if she spies for her that she will lift her ban. She can stay as long as she finds out who the traitors are when the ship comes later tonight.
Murphy and Raven are in a cave. She tries to get the tracking device from their enemies off his neck. They need tools. They leave the cave. It alerts Charmaine’s people.
Echo comes to see Bellamy. She already has 2 traitors but she isn’t turning them in. She would rather be banished.
Clarke learns that Maddie is a target because she is a night blood.
Gaia tells Clarke that Madie is a night blood child who is a threat to Octavia. Gaia leaves. Clarke has until the morning to tell Octavia.
Bellamy tells Octavia that he wants to pose as a defector to Charmaine’s crew. She is reluctant but then tells him to go. Once he gets on the ship he is on his own.
Echo and Bellamy say goodbye to each other and the others. He will be in the rover and she in the ship.
Clarke packs her things. Madi wakes. Clarke warns her that she is a target. They need to leave. Clarke is going to take them home. Madi tells her that she will not be safe. Clarke tells her to find Abby.
McCreary and the others look for John. They head into the cave. They get a signal on him. His necklace is on the ground. They planted an explosive. It blows. McCreary comes out injured.
Clarke tells Madi it is time. She sees Bellamy and stops to tell him they are leaving. She turns to get Madi but she is gone. Echo and the others run to the ship. Cooper shoots at the defectors. Bellamy and Clarke ask her what she is doing. She tells them that Octavia gave her the orders.
Madi arrives to see Octavia. She has to tell her something. Clarke shows up. Octavia’s men stop her. Octavia tells them to let Clarke pass. Octavia promises that Madi is safe. Her training starts tomorrow. Bellamy confronts Octavia about shooting her own people. She had to. They are traitors. She let Echo go.
On the ship, Echo is searched with the others who made it. Charmaine makes them all put on GPS necklaces.
