The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Bill (Don Diamont) will remain deeply affected by all that’s happened in Los Angeles. While his guilt is actually legit, it’s also true that he’s beyond reform.
Some people just are who they are. Yes, some individuals do change as life proceeds. Like Liam (Scott Clifton), who’s just become bitter. But the Dollar Bill’s of the world, they just take and take and take some more. That’s what users and takers do.
So years ago Bill was infatuated with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Then Katie’s (Heather Tom) health problems caused him to remain committed to that female choice, thereby preventing Dollar Still from having formed. But Bill never stopped desiring this woman who was half his age and in more recent years, his son’s wife.
Bill views the sex opposite of himself as conquests, not as people. He defines the male version of sexist.
Diamont’s character spoke of his own father to Liam awhile back. Bill referenced the cruelty within that man and believed that he was actually a better person. Ah, perspective it can be so intoxicating. In this instance Bill convinced himself that his life represented progress since the last generation, when it didn’t.
Liam asked about his mother before dropping awareness of the moral crime on his father. Bill said she was gorgeous and when asked, acknowledged that Kelly (a character who was never shown on B&B, as she died when Liam was a child, which proceeded Clifton’s characters debut), did remind him (Bill) of Steffy.
Bill couldn’t deny his son’s infinite chide; That he’d done the worst possible thing to his offspring. Sleeping with Liam’s wife because he believed Leffy was done.
But Steffy only told Bill that she’d left her husband hours earlier. Then they commenced their sordid, sick pleasure at the Forrester mansion guest house. And as Steffy pointed out to Liam, Bill wasn’t invited over. No, he came on his own accord.
Liam, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and others have heard all about Spencer family loyalty. It’s been Bill’s credo. It’s also been that miserable, stinking, lout’s lie.
Bill is loyal to his own whims. He’s so ingrained in himself an impulsive, animalistic feeding frenzy that the head of Spencer Publications appears beyond redemption.
The act of violating the sanctity of Liam’s marriage is so egregious that nothing short of a miracle could revive this father-son relationship. Though this is daytime and B&B is often preposterously delicious. Hmm, maybe the audience just needs to wait awhile?
