The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) had two compelling reasons to kill Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). This returned character has now become a prime suspect in the shooting that’s rocked B&B.
As seasoned viewers recall, Bill pushed a terrible lie last year. He developed a story that had his niece contracting a terminal illness. Thomas (Pierson Fode) was told of Caroline’s seemingly imminent death, which caused him to reform a relationship with her.
Caroline was aghast at what Bill had done. But the chance to reunite her family, which included her son, Douglas, proved compelling. So she, Thomas and their child recoupled in New York.
Bill’s motive wasn’t Caroline’s best interest. Instead, the head of Spencer Publications wanted to subtract Thomas from Spectra Fashions’ crew, where he was working as a designer. Thomas’ efforts were helping the emerging company to grow. That was bollixing Bill’s plans for Sky.
Sky was and remains Bill’s dream. While he’s currently based in a beautiful building in downtown Los Angeles, Dollar Bill had a skyscraper model created that he dubbed Sky. That is the proposed worldwide corporate base that he wanted to construct on the ground where Spectra Fashions’ building stood.
Bill eventually gained control and had the referenced building imploded. Sally (Courtney Hope) and Liam (Scott Clifton) were inside when that happened. Bill was unaware of that and helped to rescue them, along with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
As B&B fans also recall, Sally and Thomas were very tight romantically. By pairing Sally’s significant other with Caroline, Bill felt his legacy building plans were secured.
As viewers have now learned, Thomas told Sally that Caroline admitted that she’d lied about being ill. He said that they’re over, he can never trust her and described Caroline’s recent mental state as being very dark, all of which enabled Thomas and Sally to reconnect.
Caroline’s surprise appearance in Bill’s hospital room, which included her sporting leather gloves, was creepy. She looked deranged and likely was. Whether the gloves were written into the plot to throw viewers off, or were evidence of her guilt remains to be seen.
Miss Spencer feels that Bill forced her to lie to Thomas and then to be spurned by him, more recently, when that same lie was revealed. Thus her hands moved toward his neck as a final scene played out. But whether she was the shooter seems iffy. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Bold and the Beautiful.
