The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that the CBS soap is facing a tough dilemma. In fact, any soap that goes for a major mystery runs into this predicament. It’s difficult to surprise fans and deliver a satisfying conclusion at the same time. The outcome often ends up being either too predictable or completely ridiculous.
Nevertheless, any whodunit must be resolved. That’s certainly the case with Bill’s (Don Diamont) shooting storyline. How will B&B find the right balance? Since nearly everyone’s a suspect, can they truly catch viewers off guard with the culprit? Will The Bold and the Beautiful deliver a shooter that makes sense and still leaves fans gasping? We can hope for the best!
There’s one way to pull off a shocker, but it’d require taking a page from another soap’s current playbook. On Days of Our Lives, one character was recently murdered by another character you’d think would be in the clear. The killer has dissociative identity disorder, so that’s something The Bold and the Beautiful might have considered.
B&B might get some backlash for doing something similar to what Days is airing. However, maybe they could make it different enough to get by with it. The circumstances obviously wouldn’t line up exactly, so that could work in their favor.
If The Bold and the Beautiful’s going to give multiple personalities to a character, which one should it be? Hope (Annika Noelle) might be an option since she seems so sweet and innocent these days. We don’t know what went on with her while she was out of town. Hope could be a bit off her rocker and not even know it!
Then again, there may be another more likely choice. Liam (Scott Clifton) seems genuinely broken up about Bill’s shooting. He vowed to find the person responsible, but what if he did the deed? The show may be trying to throw fans off track.
B&B once had Liam become “Adam” during an amnesiac storyline with Quinn (Rena Sofer). They could argue that his previous head injury set him up for trouble. After Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) slept with Bill, the trauma he faced could’ve triggered something. Liam might’ve taken on another identity to shoot Bill.
Scott Clifton has been very vocal about loving his time as “Adam.” He seems to enjoy doing something wacky. B&B could bring back a colder version of “Adam” or even debut a brand-new side of Liam to shake things up.
