The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Hope (Annika Noelle) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will battle each other over Liam (Scott Clifton) for the foreseeable future. Why each woman is doing that is an unanswerable question, as clearly logic isn’t ruling their minds.
Not going all the way back, but just partially, Liam allowed himself to be swayed away from Hope to Steffy. Last year he became Sally’s (Courtney Hope) total champion and eventually kissed her, twice, while under a pile of Spectra Fashions rubble. Now, he’s allowed Hope to kiss him off Steffy.
Doesn’t Steffy grasp that the last paragraph means that he’s been involved with three women in less than a year? Now, even though she’s pregnant with his child, Liam has allowed Hope, his former love, to convince him that his wife will abandon the father of her child for Bill (Don Diamont). Wow, just wow.
It’s understandable that Steffy would want to reconcile with her husband, considering that their daughter is expected to be born this summer. Reconciliation is commendable in today’s me-first age, where single-status is falsely promoted as empowerment. In reality, that push often destabilizes the lives of involved children and their adult parents. Emotions over logic, again.
And what about Hope? She has to know that if Liam returns he’ll still be tied to Steffy for life.
Co-parenting? Give this scribe a break. Liam wouldn’t co-parent with Steffy indefinitely, he would eventually return to her. Anyone who instantly, or with thoughtful consideration, rejects that declarative statement is choosing to ignore Liam’s repeated relationship history.
So there’s this theory that women want a strong man. Someone who will treat them with respect and as an equal. Well, Liam is not that man. Yet Steffy and Hope have chased after him for years. B&B fans can’t take either lady seriously as long as they continue doing that.
Now this is a wild soap, so maybe Liam should live with both people. There would be no further need to go back and forth between either then.
Okay, let’s get serious. Ideally, Liam would pull his head out of his (censored) and go back to his wife. He would man-up and raise his child like most actual men have done, are doing, and will do.
Hope is intelligent and gorgeous. She can attract many men. So do that Miss Logan. Stop pursuing another woman’s man. Focus on your business and find another soul mate. Live a normal life and let Liam live with his family.
