The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Hope (Annika Noelle) and Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) mutual admiration society won’t exist much longer. Steffy initially believed that Hope was on her side. But ongoing comments and behavior are proving otherwise.
Liam (Scott Clifton) is constantly at the hospital where his dad is stable, but clinging to life. It makes sense that Steffy would be by his side at this time. Despite the Dollar Still debacle that’s split them, they’re married and she’s having his baby. Thus Hope’s presence would be strange, if it weren’t for her actual intentions and Liam’s encouragement.
In effect, Hope is hanging around. She’s not simply waiting to see what happens to Leffy. A variety of past comments made to Liam, though not all, directly suggest that Hope wants her one-time love back.
As for Liam, he’s hardly shrugged Hope off. Instead, Mr. Spencer said that she’s the only person he truly feels at ease with. He’s also agreed to work on the Hope for the Future campaign.
Liam has also been open with Steffy. He hasn’t lied about his feelings. The father of Steffy’s child has promised to fully support their forthcoming little girl. He’ll co-parent, but doesn’t have reconciliation plans, or hasn’t had them.
The obvious emotions that drove Liam to tell his unconscious father was at least enabling a dynamic of ongoing healing. Hope knows that, yet she made sure to blab to Liam about Bill (Don Diamont) having proposed marriage to Steffy on the night he was shot.
Hope knew that news would change Liam’s perspective and would also remind him of the dalliance Steffy recently had with his dad. That’s not something one of Steffy’s friends would do.
Viewers know that Hope presents a sweet persona. But Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) advice to his daughter was wise counsel. He suggested that Steffy keep an eye on the amount of time Hope and Liam spend together. Hope’s fake front covers her game.
Steffy continues to play a weak hand, with her only ace being the baby. Time could prove to be an ally. But the momentum building between Hope and her husband is currently hard to overcome.
Some other event will need to develop that serves to reduce Hope’s hold on Liam. When considering Bill’s physical crisis, it’s reasonable to wonder how a potential, or invented, pregnancy issue might help to capture Liam’s attention?
