The Bold and the Beautiful’s new weekly promo video teases that Bill (Don Diamont) and Katie (Heather Tom) will make their positions crystal clear when it comes to the issue of Will’s (Finnegan George) custody. Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) suggested to Katie that she file for full legal custody of Will, but Katie was at first hesitant. She wasn’t sure if that’s the route she wanted to go, or even if she’d have a good enough case to try.
But after Bill’s recent decision to attend a business meeting rather than honor a scheduled visitation with Will, and Carter’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) opinion that Katie has a good case, Katie became more determined. In this week’s promo video, August 27-31, she’s seen standing up to Bill and telling him forcefully that she’s filing for sole custody.
Katie sees her decision to seek sole custody as being about doing whatever she can to protect Will. Bill has let Will down so many times, and Will’s been starting to wonder whether it’s his fault that his dad doesn’t want to spend time with him.
Katie wants to spare him from this pain, and she believes that she can do so by exerting more control over Will’s schedule. Besides, she feels like she’s basically been the sole custodial parent anyway, so why not make it official.
But Bill is none too pleased with Katie’s decision, and it’s clear in the promo video that he’s not going to just stand by and lose joint custody. He’s shown ominously threatening Katie and Thorne. “Nobody’s going to take my kid away from me,” he seethes.
“Anyone who tries will regret it. You want to go to war with me? Bring it on. You will lose.” It’s clear that Bill’s not kidding around.
Bill can be a dangerous guy, and when he makes threats like this, he’s likely to follow through and have a trick or two up his sleeve. B&B spoilers say that Bill will indeed play dirty against Katie, using her history of alcoholism against her in the custody case.
Of course, Katie will have plenty of ammunition against Bill as well, given his history of ruining relationships and causing havoc in his adult sons’ lives.
It looks like Bill and Katie are going to war, with Thorne right in the middle of the action. Of course, Thorne instigated this war by pushing the sole custody idea onto Katie.
And Bill’s threats are just as much for Thorne as they are for Katie. B&B spoilers indicate that this custody battle will result in other family members taking sides, so this war may get nastier as time goes on.
