The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Liam (Scott Clifton) and Bill (Don Diamont) have a chance to restart their relationship now that Taylor (Hunter Tylo) admitted that she was the shooter. However, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) appears to remain trapped between both men.
Steffy told her mom that what happened with Bill was consensual. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) believed (and still believes differently), which is why he phoned Taylor when he first learned what Dollar Still did. That set Tylo’s just-returned character off and the since-revealed mystery played out.
So, Steffy didn’t want to tell Liam exactly what she’d learned about her mother. Instead, she went to the hotel where he’s hiding from his life and responsibilities and said that Taylor helped Bill to confirm that Liam hadn’t shot him.
Liam desperately needed that mental reprieve. Based on the detailed description Bill offered, he’d convinced himself that he shot his father. An apparent concussion suffered on the fated night in question caused the memory illusion.
Taylor’s admission also allowed Bill to momentarily breath. While he had forgiven Liam for the shooting, he also recently made a proposal. No, Bill didn’t get down on his knee this time, but did ask Liam to basically relinquish his wife. Liam found that reprehensible and fell into another fit of unease.
Both Spencer men need to go all the way back to the beginning. They’ve previously acknowledged that their personality types are different. That trait often was the source of dissension. However, their disagreements got so far out of hand that their bond seem irrevocably broken.
It wasn’t lost on Bill that Taylor’s reveal is actually a gift. No longer does Bill have to carry the weight of believing that his own son wanted to kill him. At the same time Liam can now focus on what’s truly important.
Steffy is pregnant and in love with him. She’s admitted her mistake many times and continues to try to make amends. Liam should take his wife’s hand and reconcile, period. To not do so would play into Bill’s worst instincts and possibly, Steffy’s.
So, for the good of all involved, Liam must use this reprieve to rebalance his life. Bill needs to digest all that’s happened and allow his son, daughter-in-law and forthcoming grandchild to bond. This is B&B, which means that anything is possible. Who knows, maybe Bill and Taylor will bond as well. If he can’t have the daughter, than maybe her mom?
Taylor sold her house to Bill a number of years ago. She’s familiar with the surroundings and has already proven that she can keep Diamont’s great character in line. Dollar Till anyone?
