The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers update for Monday, October 1, tease that Hope (Annika Noelle) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will have a moment of agreement. As they’re working at Forrester, they’ll have a chat about Katie (Heather Tom) and Bill’s (Don Diamont) custody dispute. It’s a topic that’s on the entire family’s mind these days.
Bill’s certainly been the cause of a lot of drama and heartache for Hope and Steffy, but that doesn’t mean that they’ll automatically conclude that Bill should lose the custody case. It looks like Hope will ask Steffy about her thoughts on the matter. “Do I think the custody hearing should go against Bill?” Steffy will say. “Honestly, I don’t think it makes much of a difference.”
Steffy and Hope will probably figure that no matter what the judge rules, Bill will still get to see Will (Finnegan George), since Katie doesn’t plan to keep Will from Bill. It seems that, no matter what, it will be up to Bill to be there as an attentive, loving father for his son.
Meanwhile, on the new B&B episode on Monday, October 1, the custody hearing will continue and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) will be called to testify on Bill’s behalf. She’ll be directly asked about his parenting skills, and she’ll admit that “maybe Bill isn’t the best parent, but he’s trying and he’s learning.” We’ll see just how Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) ends up reacting to Brooke’s pro-Bill testimony.
Finally, on Monday, October 1, each side will make closing arguments. We’ll get to see Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Justin (Aaron D. Spears) each put his client’s best arguments forward. Then it will be time for the judge to consider the evidence and make his ruling.
