The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers documented Liam’s (Scott Clifton) terrible recent personal history. While he believes a truce has been reached with his father, Bill (Don Diamont) is actually still attacking his life. That’s why advice Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) recently offered presented the best possible solution for Liam.
B&B fans saw that the despicable Dollar Bill just used Wyatt (Darin Brooks) to further a lie about Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). He actually told his supposedly valued son that Liam’s wife can’t get enough. Then, poor Steffy just happened to call.
Bill violated her trust in the worst way possible at the Forrester guest house last year. So, putting Steffy on speaker and not telling her that Wyatt was listening simply continued his terrible amoral pattern.
Steffy isn’t loved by Bill. Bill is obsessed with Steffy. He sees her as something he possesses and believes he owns. That type of dehumanization is also evidenced in the manner in which he interacts with Katie (Heather Tom) and, as noted, his two adult sons.
A scenario has now been setup whereby Liam will likely buy what Wyatt believes is the truth. Daytime devotees, along with Brooks’ character, heard Steffy thank Bill for keeping ‘their secret’. Of course Bill didn’t tell Wyatt that meant not reporting Taylor (Hunter Tylo) to the police for having shot him. Instead he knew his remaining Spencer Publications’ pawn would interpret Steffy’s comment as she and Bill having an ongoing romantic relationship.
Soaps are, at times, rightfully questioned. In this instance, if each of Bill’s current targets would step back and have a group discussion a solution could be realized. Determining that Bill is playing them wouldn’t be easy, but is within reason attainable.
Liam needs to have an open discussion with Steffy when he hears that she’s still fooling around with his dad. Why would a woman who’s five months pregnant be having hidden romantic relations? It doesn’t make sense in this specific situation.
Whether Liam is able to see past his dad’s lie is uncertain, as Clifton’s character continues to reel emotionally. However, Katie could be a wild card if Wyatt shares what Bill claimed with her. She is onto Bill more than any of the others, including Steffy.
Here’s hoping that Liam will listen to Ridge’s advice and stop his father from winning. With however it happens, Steam must reconcile for the good of their baby and to preserve their own marriage.
