The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Steffy Doesn’t Lie About Cheating – Ridge and Liam Still Hold Bill Entirely Responsible

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers documented all things Bill (Don Diamont) recently, which includes the fallout from the night of passion he shared with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Shared is the key word in that last sentence, as Dollar Still engaged in a consensual encounter.

It’s easy to look down one’s nose at Bill. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is doing that right now. In fact, he wanted to have his nemesis arrested for assaulting his daughter. Steffy told her father that contacting the authorities would be wrong because she chose to be with Bill, regardless of how anyone chooses to view that situation in retrospect.

Some may scoff at the implied and direct compliments that are being offered to Bill. But let’s look at the facts, rather than run wild with emotion because it fits one’s bias.

This scribe thinks that Bill is a complex personality. His father’s influence can not be used as an excuse for many years of bad behavior, amoral decisions and committed crimes. However, Bill honestly loves Steffy and has for years. That’s why he consoled her on various occasions last year when Liam (Scott Clifton) went gaga over Sally (Courtney Hope).

This scribe also believes that Steffy has latent feelings for Bill, even though she just told Ridge that’s not true. It may be possible that Steffy doesn’t realize the type of connection she has with her father-in-law because of all that’s transpired. That’s why the breakup of Leffy may allow Dollar Still to be explored by both parties in the near future.

It is very bold of B&B to present a story where three separate characters (Liam, Ridge and Wyatt, Darin Brooks) all asked Steffy if Bill assaulted her. Wood’s character said no each time in response. Many may choose to read between those lines of dialogue and see a message related to modern times.

Victims of any type of assault, be they men or women, deserve respect and whatever form of justice society allows. Legitimate claims are also surely undercut whenever anyone, man or woman, exaggerates, or outright lies about any situation that never was assault, but instead a regretted mistake made equally by both parties. Now, let’s see why the words men and man were used before women and woman within this paragraph.

Bill could have been arrested for assaulting Liam a handful of months ago. Bill could have spent years in jail for throwing Ridge out of a helicopter in 2014, as well. So, based on those instances, it’s totally understandable that Liam and Ridge (and even Wyatt) thought Bill had wronged Steffy.

Steffy could have used Bill’s actual record of violence to ruin his life. But she didn’t because her heart doesn’t follow a vindictive beat.

Yes, it can be argued that Steffy’s honesty in telling Liam and now, Ridge, about Bill has exacerbated the situation. However, her only mistake and it was egregious, was giving in to Bill’s overture at the Forrester guest house.

Does Steffy’s bad choice deserve annulment? It’s hard to argue against it. But should Ridge now have free reign to discipline Bill? No, which is a hard pill for many to swallow.
