The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) are in for more relationship drama. These two seem to disagree about every major conflict that comes about on the show. They were certainly knee-deep in the love triangle that played out between Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Liam (Scott Clifton), and Hope (Annika Noelle) earlier this summer.
After the love triangle drama died down and Hope and Liam got married, the tension between “Bridge” died down as well. The two even decided to focus more on their relationship and worry less about outside situations, which seemed like a good idea. But it may be easier said than done.
Three major events are set to occur this fall that may pit Brooke and Ridge on opposite sides of issues again. Let’s look at each event and consider how it may negatively impact Bridge’s relationship going forward.
1. Taylor’s Return
First off, Taylor (Hunter Tylo) may cause some more friction between Brooke and Ridge. Taylor will be on canvas significantly more this fall, and she may try to shake things up again between Steffy, Hope, and Liam. Taylor wasn’t shy about tracking Liam down right before his wedding to Hope and lobbying for Steffy one final time, and of course there was the huge cake fight between Taylor and Brooke.
It’s clear that Taylor and Brooke have unresolved negative feelings for each other (to say the least), and Taylor may try to cause trouble between Hope and Liam, with the goal being to pave the way for a “Steam” reunion. That could certainly cause some tension between Brooke and Ridge, especially since Ridge will always be on team Steam.
2. Bill & Katie’s Custody Battle
Next, there’s the issue of Bill (Don Diamont) and Katie’s (Heather Tom) custody battle over Will (Finnegan George). Brooke and Ridge are already on opposite sides of the issue, with Ridge fully supporting Katie and Brooke beginning to defend Bill. Look for Bridge to disagree more, and more frequently, as the custody battle heats up.
B&B spoilers say that Brooke will really go to bat for Bill, arguing that Bill deserves to be a part of Will’s life. She’ll think that it’s in Will’s best interest to spend as much time with his dad as possible, while Ridge will think that Will’s better off with Bill out of his life permanently. This will surely cause difficulty in Bridge’s relationship – after all, Brooke will be defending Ridge’s greatest nemesis.
3. Hope & Steffy’s Forrester Battle
Finally, Bridge will have to cope with fallout from Hope and Steffy’s workplace battle at Forrester. B&B spoilers say that Ridge will be placed in the position of deciding whether Forrester will back Hope’s Hope For The Future (HFTF) clothing line or Steffy’s Intimates line. It looks like Steffy’s line may win out, because the issue will bring significant drama for Brooke and Ridge.
If Ridge does choose Steffy’s line over HFTF, then Brooke won’t be happy. She may lash out and accuse Ridge of favoritism, or even for making an adverse decision against Hope in retaliation for marrying Liam. It could get ugly, and may open old wounds.
Whatever happens as a result of these three events, chances are it won’t be easy on Brooke and Ridge. Their relationship seems to be tested at every turn.
