The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Bill’s (Don Diamont) daughter may have just been seen on an ultrasound. Liam (Scott Clifton) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) don’t know it yet, but the first image captured of their baby could in fact by Dollar Still’s child.
The audience hasn’t yet been given enough information by B&B to know if Bill influenced the paternity test results, or didn’t interfere with that scientific process. TPTB might be leaving the longterm plot line open-ended within the writer’s room as well. But it’s probably likely that B&B is orchestrating a measured arc and knows exactly which storyline direction it’s taking.
Steffy’s infamous December daydream showed Liam’s initial joy when his wife was giving birth. But then Clifton’s character’s expression turned to rage as he saw a bearded just-born baby. Don Diamont, in arguably the most hilarious dual soapy role ever, was shown as a crying, bearded baby Bill. Liam was outraged, as B&B’s curtain was brought down.
It could be asserted that the referenced daydream serves to confirm that the now-identified little girl must be Leffy’s. B&B suggested that a boy would be Bill’s. So this plot point may, or may not be a distraction.
During one of the many Bill-Steffy counseling sessions, Bill advised that he would have to be involved in his child’s life if, in fact, he was the father. Steffy agreed. That likely then means that Bill did not have the paternity test results purposely changed in order to make Liam look like the father, when he wasn’t.
Another tampering option would have Steffy changing the tests. That is believable, based upon the guilt she continues to express. But other than assuming her behavior involves more than natural upset, no evidence is available in this regard.
It’s also possible that some other person intentionally affected the test results. This could be almost any on- or off-screen character, like, say Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). That very long stretch would test the patience of even B&B’s most devoted viewer’s.
Assume then that Bill is legitimately the father of Steffy’s child. In this instance, there would have been some type of mistake made by the laboratory that tagged Liam as the dad. So, is it possible that Bill’s actual child is being carried by Steffy right now?
