Tonight on FOX their new medical drama The Resident airs with an all-new Monday, May 14, 2018, episode and we have your The Resident recap below. Meanwhile, Mina’s partnership with The Raptor takes on new colors when Micah is rushed back to Chastain with major heart complications and Dr. Bell’s alliance with Lane is put to the ultimate test when one of her patients is readmitted to the hospital.”

Bell and Lane are enjoying a cup of coffee in his new apartment. He calls her his good luck charm. Conrad is waiting to see Nic so he can pay her bail. The officer is not being helpful. Mina is in bed with her patient, the heart transplant patient Micah. He calls them a thing. She tells him no way. She is not built for romance. She loves her work. When she asks him a question he doesn’t answer. She turns to see him shaking.
Conrad finally sees Nic through the glass. They talk on the phone. He promises he will get her out. Mina comes in with Micah. Devon asks her what she is doing with him. They stabilize him. Mina leaves. She has surgery.
Conrad meets with a patient who is confused, shaking and aggressive. He needs thiamine. Conrad takes a call from Nic. Her bail has been set at $100k. Lane’s lawyers called the prosecution and said that Nic is a flight risk. Conrad promises her that he can get the money. He hangs up with her and calls his father.
Mina and Conrad are told by a cardiologist that Micah has a tear in his heart. Surgery won’t help.
Conrad meets his father. He tells him that Nic’s bail has been paid.
Irving and Devon come to a patient’s bed in the ER and realize it is Olivia, a hypochondriac that comes in on a regular basis. Irving is annoyed. Devon tells him he will deal with her this time. She has a rash that she thinks could be caused by rat-fever, or possibly leptospirosis. She mentions that it could be from lymphoma too. She tells Devon that she just had her first round of chemo with Lane Hunter’s clinic.
The officer calls Nic for help. Her girlfriend is shaky and slow. Nic figures out she is on a sulfa drug for a sinus infection and needs glucose. She drinks some OJ. The officer tells Nic she can get dress. She is free to go. She made bail.
Mina goes to see AJ talk about surgery for Micah. He gloats when she explains that she needs his expertise. AJ agrees to take the case after Mina explains that he is a good man. AJ doesn’t care what kind of man he is. They walk by Bell who overhears them and informs them that Micah has agreed to have the surgery. AJ knows why. If he dies before a year, it is a black mark on Chastain.
Nic arrives at Chastain. Conrad and Devon tell her about Olivia. Nic looks at her file. Olivia doesn’t even have cancer. They bring their case to Bell. Bell calls them absurd. He doesn’t believe them. Devon tells him he doesn’t care. They have called the FBI. That is protocol and unless he follows suit, he will be libel as well as the hospital. Bell changes his tune quick and agrees to suspend Lane’s privileges for now.
Mina and Micah talk before his surgery. He says his goodbyes but Mina tells him she will see him when he gets out.
Lane comes in to see Bell. He tells her that the FBI is going to go through her records. If she made a mistake she needs to get the files tonight and bring them to his apartment. They will burn them together.
AJ and Mina begin in the OR with Micah. Meanwhile, Lane races to her clinic.
Devon brings his girlfriend in who is a reporter. He tells Olivia she will be famous if she tells her story about how she doesn’t have cancer.
Mina tells AJ to go slowly as he opens Micah’s chest. There is a lot of scar tissues. Conrad watches from the sidelines. They start cardioplegia. As they finish, AJ tries to turn the remainder of the surgery over to Mina. She tells him she can’t. He lectures her to harness her passion and to fox Micah. Mina begins sewing him up. They restart his heart. He is in V-Fib. Mina massages his heart in his chest. AJ paddles him. He finally gets into sinus rhythm.
Lane runs into her clinic and grabs her files. She comes out to flashlights in her face. It is the FBI. They handcuff her and walk her to the cruiser. Bell is there.
The next morning, reporters are everywhere in the states of Chastain. Bell holds a press conference. Inside the hospital, Devon, Nic in her nurse scrubs and Devon watch him on TV.
Mina waits by Micah’s bedside. She cries. Devon stops in and tells her they are all rooting for him and her. She holds his hand and cries. Micah wakes up and tells her that they are a thing. She laughs. AJ watches from outside, he smirks.
Nic and Conrad cross paths in the hall. They meet in a room. They kiss. Nic doesn’t know if she plans to stay. Conrad doesn’t know either. Nic gets paged.
Bell steps into a large meeting with the board. They clap. He is relieved. They want to introduce him to his new boss – Conrad’s father.
