The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that we’ve got some comings and goings news to pass along. First, we should address the departure everyone’s been buzzing about. Mishael Morgan wrapped up her run as Hilary on July 27, but her death will drive the story for months to come.
Devon (Bryton James), Lily (Christel Khalil), Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Neil (Kristoff St. John) will all be key players in the aftermath. Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Shauna (Camryn Hamm) will be pulled into all the drama as well. Thanks to secrets and shockers, things will never be the same for some of these Y&R characters. It should be interesting to see the dominoes fall in the coming episodes.
Of course, it’s also tough to say goodbye to Hilary! She was a real firecracker and a big reason many viewers tuned in. On Twitter, Mishael Morgan sent out a message to bid Y&R farewell and thank all her fans. She’s moving on, but she’ll always carry a piece of Hilary in her heart.
“Along with all of u, I have to say goodbye to a woman who truly did change my life,” Morgan said. “Hilary made me stronger, bolder & ready to take a difficult step. Above all, she brought all of u amazingly supportive ppl into my life! I am forever in her debt. u guys. RIP Hilary.”
In other Young and the Restless news, it looks like Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) will be off screen for a little while. She tearfully said so long to Mariah (Camryn Grimes) on Friday but she’ll reveal a change of plans on Monday’s new Y&R episode, July 30. Tessa intends to find Crystal (Morgan Obenreder) and use a round-trip ticket to return home.
For the safety of all parties involved, Tessa may not be able to reach out for a bit. However, The Young and the Restless spoilers confirm that Tessa will indeed be back. In fact, the latest buzz suggests that she may bring Crystal with her and try to clear her name after all.
Word has it Jordi Vilasuso’s new character, Rey, may be able to help out with that. According to reliable soap Twitter insiders, Rey will likely be a cop who aids Tessa and Crystal. It appears he’ll also be Arturo’s (Jason Canela) brother, so he should have several connections on canvas.
