The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Friday, January 5, tease that Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) will mull over their New Year’s Eve. They had a great time together, so they’ll try to come up with some texts to share how they feel. Unfortunately, Lily and Cane just won’t be able to find the right words.
Later, Billy (Jason Thompson) will stop by the mansion. Cane will get agitated over Billy’s new position at Chancellor, but he’ll be forced to go along with it. After meeting Sam’s attractive nanny, Billy and Cane will head off to a business meeting.
At the athletic club, Lily will open up to Devon (Bryton James). She’ll suggest that her relationship with Cane is stuck in limbo. Once Cane and Billy arrive, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will join them. She’ll observe the way Cane looks at Lily, so she’ll push him to get his wife back.
By the bar, Billy will nudge Lily in a similar direction. Phyllis and Billy will be pleased over their matchmaking. Afterward, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Cane and Lily will speak privately. When Lily wants to hold off on the divorce, Cane will be appreciative. Just before Lily leaves, Cane will throw down his briefcase and grab her for a steamy kiss.
Meanwhile, Scott (Daniel Hall) will startle Abby (Melissa Ordway) when he jumps in her car. They’ll go over all the drama they’ve been dealing with. Abby will just want to move on, but Scott will gripe about their latest assignment. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) still wants them to team up. Fortunately, Abby will postpone it by securing another project with Lily (Christel Khalil) in Paris.
Other Y&R spoilers say Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will consider what’s next for Dina (Marla Adams). She needs serious care. Ashley will push for a cushy facility, but she’ll ultimately decide it would be too painful to leave their mother. Jack and Ash will settle on having a caregiver for Dina at home. He or she will be with Dina around the clock.
When Traci (Beth Maitland) shows up, she’ll be crushed when Dina doesn’t recognize her. They’ll have a tough chat as Dina remains oblivious. Once Graham (Max Shippee) appears at the door, Dina will welcome him. Graham will quickly usher Traci outside for a private conversation, but he’ll pull a dirty trick. Jack will be furious when a call informs him that Graham came back and locked Traci out.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Graham will prey on Dina’s confusion and offer to take her elsewhere. He’ll have a flashback about encouraging Dina take Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen). Once the Abbott siblings file in, a huge fight will erupt. Graham will rant about how they haven’t been watching out for Dina. He’ll run down the list of all the horrible things they’ve allowed her to do.
A livid Jack will give Graham a knee to the groin before tossing him out of the house. Nevertheless, Graham won’t give up. He’ll shout that he still has medical power-of-attorney in Wisconsin. Graham will promise that he’s going to take Dina away from them and it’ll all be perfectly legal.
