The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Graham (Max Shippee) and Dina (Marla Adams) may have been married in the recent past, which would help to explain the medical power of attorney that Mr. Bloodworth holds. All digital legal beagles shouldn’t bite this scribe’s ankles. This is soap, where creative legality rules the court (and this feature).
Okay, assume that Graham’s plan was more diabolical than originally suspected. Not only did he worm his way into Dina’s good graces while they were in France, based upon his mother’s urging, but he also later married Madame Mergeron! Yes, that is plausible.
Viewers recall that Graham arrived on Dina’s arm upon her return to Genoa City. She flew in and boy were his arms tired, wah, wah. Seriously, no one knew who this mystery man was until the slow reveal played out through the fall and into winter.

Eventually, Graham’s revenge plot was revealed at the Top of the Tower. Dina suffered a mini-stroke and Graham’s medical power of attorney was invoked. However, it only held sway in Wisconsin. Then, Graham took Dina to Florida, where his mom resides. Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) followed their mother to the Sunshine State only to find Dina.
Dina was as happy as an uncaught Grouper in the Gulf, until she saw Jack and slapped his face. That was the first glaring sign that Dina wasn’t simply dealing with the aftereffects of what was described as a minor stroke. Instead, the Abbott’s forcibly entered into gradual acceptance of her Alzheimer’s condition. And along with that comes short-term memory loss.
Considering Dina’s deteriorating mental state, it stands to reason that Graham popped the question and made her Mrs. Bloodworth. Marital ties would significantly improve the odds of Graham retaining his legal rights to Dina’s fortune that he was initially promised in the will she changed in 2017. Of course Dina and Graham may very well have entered Genoa City last year as a married couple.
It’s also possible that Dina and Graham married while the sun was warming Wisconsin last summer. In either instance it’s logical to believe that Dina would not have known what she was doing at the time, or remember what happened now. That aspect would surely seem to make the nuptials reversible.
If this theory proves true, it should be revealed in the courtroom shocker that’s set to be shown this week on Y&R, January 8-12. But how soon will the Abbott’s be able to protect their mother if Graham holds legal power over Dina’s life?
As hardcore viewers recall, Graham left Dina for dead after she passed out in her GC Athletic Club suite late last year and put a ‘do not disturb sign’ on the door.
