The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Is Nick Really Victor’s Son – Nikki’s Bayou Behavior Raises Questions

The Young and the Restless spoilers documented Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) recent dalliance with Arturo (Jason Canela). While that’s been happening Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victor (Eric Braeden) have reached a place of viability within their ever-fragile father-son relationship, if the Moustache is Nick’s biological dad.

So much paternity talk about Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) took place during the past few years. But what about his non-dad’s, Nick’, genetic link? How does the Dark Knight know that Nick is actually his son, when considering Nikki’s longstanding Bayou behavior.

Oh, yes, that’s right Victor’s many romantic encounters will now be thrown in this scribe’s face. He’s wiped off those red herrings and now is refocused on the one time dancer and still prancer, Nicole Reed Newman.

Often replayed flashbacks have show Victor’s one-time sidekick Colonel Douglas Austin (Michael Evans) sitting at The Bayou watching Nikki flaunt her body and ego on stage. So one doesn’t need to be a longtime Y&R viewer to know this showstopper’s history.

After dating Paul (Doug Davidson) and conceiving his child (Dylan, as played in his adult version by Steve Burton), while they were drawn into Ian Ward’s (as most recently played by Ray Wise) cult, Nikki worked at the local strip club. This served as the setting where the Colonel introduced Victor to Nikki.

Niktor’s love link isn’t being denied, as these similar personality types are each other’s soul mates. However, they’ve enjoyed the self-indulgent pleasure of others through the yeas.

Without rehashing Nick’s supposedly understood conception and birth and in considering all past issues in his regard that were raised through the years, it always remains fair game to question anyone’s soapy biology.

It would make revisionist sense, as that’s what this proposed backstory change would be, to have Nick be another man’s child. He’s always felt resistance toward the Moustache and is far more like his mother than his supposed dad.

The implications of Nick’s new father being revealed would be ginormous. Yes, use of that smashed word is justified because Victor’s sense of himself would be terribly shaken, while Nick’s desired freedom would finally be gained.

As for the lady in question, Nikki’s most recent impulsive jaunt with Arturo reminded viewers that one can take a dancer out of The Bayou, as Victor did. But did he ever take The Bayou out of Miss Reed, who’s called herself Mrs Newman, among many other monikers during these past decades?
