The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Summer (Hunter King) is in for a rude awakening. She toyed with Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) feelings all summer and made him watch her pursue Billy (Jason Thompson) and get into all sorts of trouble. She enjoyed playing with Kyle’s emotions, but finally Kyle had enough and ended his relationship (and even his friendship) with Summer.
Now Summer’s hurt and remorseful, but Kyle’s made it clear that it’s too late to say sorry. Kyle has moved on, and his attention has turned to someone else…Lola (Sasha Calle). Lola and her “La Vida Lola” food truck have come into Kyle’s orbit, and he couldn’t be more pleased.
Lola is a breath of fresh air for Kyle. Unlike Summer, she’s self-sufficient, a hard worker, down-to-earth, and straightforward. She doesn’t seem like one who’d make it her big goal to get her mom’s boyfriend into bed, nor does she seem like she’d play games with other people’s feelings. Kyle now has an opportunity with someone who will probably treat him with great respect.
But how long until Summer spies Kyle and Lola together? If Summer’s hurt that Kyle pushed her away, she’ll probably really be thrown when she sees Kyle enjoying someone else’s company so soon. Summer doesn’t lose well, or with any kind of dignity, so we may see Summer continue to whine and beg for Kyle’s forgiveness.
Or maybe Summer will see herself as Lola’s rival. But Lola doesn’t seem like the type to get into a rivalry over a guy. Besides, Kyle has pretty much washed his hands of Summer. But that doesn’t mean that Summer won’t get manipulative to create problems for Kyle and Lola. Maybe Lola will set her straight! That would be fun to watch.
