The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lily (Christel Khalil) has a few tricks up her sleeve. She can’t believe Devon (Bryton James) would agree to have a baby with the wicked witch of Genoa City. There’s no one Lily hates more than Hilary (Mishael Morgan), so she definitely doesn’t approve of this decision.
Since Lily can’t make Devon see the light, she’ll have to find another way to put a stop to this. Lily looked intrigued in Wednesday’s Y&R episode, March 10. She overheard Hilary making her insemination appointment, so that can’t be good news. Lily now knows all the baby-making details, so she’ll try to derail Devon and Hilary’s plans.
How will Lily pull this off? A sperm sample swap would be a classic soap strategy. It’s wrong and Lily would know that, but she probably wouldn’t care. At this point, Lily’s just desperate for Hilary to have anybody’s baby but Devon’s. She might sneak in the lab, switch Devon’s sample for another man’s and hightail it out of there.
Lily might plot some way for Devon to find out the truth, but The Young and the Restless spoilers say things could get complicated. Once she sees Devon’s growing excitement over fatherhood, Lily might chicken out and hope no one ever discovers the swap. Of course, that discovery would indeed come and Lily would inevitably get caught.
Hilary would undoubtedly fly into a rage. She’d rip into Lily with everything she’s got. Their confrontation could easily spark a miscarriage, so that could bring more changes. Devon’s the kind of guy who has sympathy for anyone in pain. He would obviously be in major pain, too. Devon and Hilary could bond over the loss and grow closer in the process.
Perhaps Devon would suggest trying again, but Hilary might decline the offer. She could be too broken up about the miscarriage to even think about it. Devon could see Hilary’s sensitive side and eventually reunite with her. They could at least have some grief sex as they mull over the baby they lost.
This could be Y&R’s grand plan. Most “Hevon” fans would like to see Devon and Hilary have a kid the old-fashioned way. Maybe Lily’s actions will unintentionally lead to that.
