The Young and the Restless spoilers have some news items to pass on about a Y&R fan favorite. Mishael Morgan, who portrayed Hilary Curtis Hamilton on the CBS soap, recently shared some poignant messages for her fans on her social media accounts – one relating to her father’s health struggles, and one relating to the recent flooding in her native Trinidad.
First, Mishael posted a message on her Twitter feed concerning the recent flooding in Trinidad, where she was born. The islands of Trinidad and Tobago have been devastated by floods, with scores of people injured and displaced from their homes.
About the flooding, Mishael tweeted: “The worst flood in over 100 years! Thousands are stranded & displaced. All of my heart & my prayers go out to my family, my country, and all my Trinis holding strong today. My sweet, sweet Trinidad.”
Next, Mishael shared a picture on Instagram of an original painting she created for the Brush Of Hope Celebrity Art Auction sponsored by The Kidney Foundation of Canada Atlantic. The painting of a dandelion was put up for auction, with the funds going to The Kidney Foundation of Canada for patient service programs, education, and awareness initiatives.
Mishael posted the following message with the photo: “I don’t talk about my personal struggles very often, but my father has been battling many ailments over the years, kidney disease being one. I was honored and proud to pick up a brush for this worthy cause. Check out my first attempt at painting!”
The painting is beautiful, and it’s a great way to raise money for a worthy cause. Our thoughts and well-wishes go to Mishael’s father, and to the victims of the Trinidad and Tobago floods. Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless, updates, and news.
