The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victor’s (Eric Braeden) arrogance has put him in danger on Y&R. He was revealed as the person who received Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) money stash from Adam’s (Justin Hartley) columbarium. Victor’s follow-through threat to his daughter-in-law implied that he was without guilt regarding Adam’s death. That mistake could haunt him as soon as Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) fury is reignited.
When, not if, Victor outs Chelsea to Nick she’ll have no reason to withhold the information about his father’s awareness of Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen). It’s possible that Victor changed the paternity test, which would be a crime, therefore making Nick Christian’s real father after all. But assuming that isn’t true, Nick’s awareness of Victor’s knowledge will prime a criminal referral to Paul (Doug Davidson) regarding Adam’s offing.
Victor doesn’t believe that his position in life shields him from implication in Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) mortal crime. That’s why he allowed ‘Khloe’ to escape, when he could have easily turned her into the authorities for blowing up the cabin where Adam was hiding.
Yes, Victor felt genuine compassion for Bella (Gia Poeme). While his feelings for Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe’s child played into last year’s write-out of all three characters, Victor calculated the cost of Chloe turning over evidence to Paul. All of which makes Rikaart’s coming return to the show particularly intriguing.
Chelsea was previously threatened by Victor. As Y&R fans recall, she told Victor that she and Connor wouldn’t be attending his tree lighting ceremony at the Newman Ranch. There was no malice in her decision. Nick didn’t want to go and she was merely following his lead.
Victor responded by reminding her, in private, that both of Adam’s boys, meaning Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) should be there. That meant Chelsea should do as she was told, both then and forever, unless she wanted Nick to learn that she was aware of Christian’s apparent, actual paternity.
Here’s what appears likely to play out according to The Young and the Restless buzz – Chelsea is in the process of being written out. Y&R can’t let that happen without revisiting the Christian issue again. However Nick learns the seeming truth about his son, a follow-up paternity test will be taken.
If, as a result of this news, Chelsea feels forced out of Genoa City she’ll admit what she’s known to Nick, which would include Victor’s awareness of said biology. That will spurn another father-son war and Nick’s relay of all knowledge Nick has about his father’s role in Adam’s death to Paul.
