The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will stun Nick (Joshua Morrow) with a sudden suggestion. She’ll get an idea out of the blue and it should make Nick even more suspicious. As the walls close in, Chelsea will attempt to keep Nick by her side. She’ll deliver a shocking proposal and hope that he’ll accept it.
When Chelsea asks Nick to marry her, he’ll wonder where all this is coming from. Nick’s isn’t the brightest guy on any given day, but he’s smart enough to know Chelsea’s keeping secrets. He can sense that something just isn’t right between them. Of course, that doesn’t mean Nick will listen to his gut on this. He truly loves Chelsea and obviously wants a future with her.
It looks like Chelsea might come up with this strategy after Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily’s (Christel Khalil) vow renewal. She might even push Nick to tie the knot right then and there. After all, most of their loved ones will probably be at the Valentine’s Day party. Chelsea may argue that there’s no need to wait since they’re in love and plan on sticking together.
Nick will undoubtedly feel like this is just plain crazy. He’s all for spontaneity in their romance, but he may think this is going too far. However, Chelsea can be pretty crafty. Once she makes a passionate speech, Nick may be tempted to take her up on this surprising offer. Chelsea will make it clear that she wants Nick in her life forever, so it’s possible he’ll agree to get married ASAP.
If that happens, this could be the perfect setup for the paternity shocker. When a couple’s doomed and a wedding begins, you can bet that something will blow it up. Since Chelsea’s on her way out at The Young and the Restless, the show needs something to destroy her relationship. Chelsea’s doing a good job of that with all her scamming, but it may take something bigger to tear “Chick” apart.
Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) true paternity could come out at the nuptials. The threat Chelsea’s been facing could somehow lead to a stunning exposure. A public revelation would make Nick’s pain even worse!
Nick needs to find out that Adam (Justin Hartley) is Christian’s biological father and now’s the time. They’ll let a bombshell slip away if Chelsea exits and keeps her long-held secret. Why leave drama on the table for February sweeps? Y&R should go for it and spark a new storyline for Nick once Chelsea’s gone.
