The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will hope her fight for power pays off. She’ll feel even more hopeful after Billy’s (Jason Thompson) push for the throne fails. Once Billy crashes and burns, it shouldn’t be too hard for Phyllis to pull off a victory. Jack’s (Peter Bergman) got Dark Horse to keep him busy and his weak spot for Phyllis should help, too.
It looks like Phyllis will indeed fill the CEO seat soon, which should mean good news and bad news. First, let’s talk about the good news. Jabot needs a way to distance itself from all the Abbott drama. What better way to do that than hiring someone without the Abbott name? Plus, Phyllis will have plenty of fresh ideas for the future. They’ll need those since they’ll be in total rebuilding mode.
Y&R fans can’t forget that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) just left town with all her patents. Most of Jabot’s major product lines have been wiped out. They’ll need new lines and some creative marketing strategies to stay afloat. Phyllis just might be the perfect leader for this Jabot era. She’s willing to take risks, but not too many like Billy! Phyllis will have a unique vision that could propel Jabot forward.
Unfortunately, that bad news we mentioned will inevitably hit hard. Phyllis is keeping a huge secret and it’s destined to blow up. She’s the ringleader of a deadly cover-up plot. Phyllis has pretty much been pulling the strings of this entire operation. She’s in deep with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Sharon (Sharon Case) on the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) scheme.
What happens once the truth comes out? The Young and the Restless spoilers say some arrests may be looming. Nikki was defending Victoria, so this wasn’t murder. However, it was a terrible idea to bury the evidence and withhold info from the cops. It’s not going to look so innocent, now is it? Even if they avoid murder charges, the cover-up could bring legal woes. All four ladies could potentially stand trial.
Of course, that means Jabot will once again make the front page with a scandal. Jack (Peter Bergman) was ousted over the paternity chaos. Billy was tossed off the throne for embezzlement as well as his gambling addiction. Next, Ashley was unseated thanks to her DNA plot and ended up bailing with the patents. Jabot’s in a dire situation at this point, so can they survive another devastating blow?
John’s (Jerry Douglas) legacy could be in jeopardy. Phyllis’ downfall may be what truly sends Jabot into a tailspin. Will someone surprising emerge as their savior or will another character exploit the company’s weakness instead? Is a shocking takeover brewing?
It sounds like several storylines will collide and bring even more excitement. We’ll give you updates as other Young and the Restless details come in. Stay tuned to Y&R and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and news.
