The Young and the Restless spoilers documented Sharon’s (Sharon Case) many spirals, but also her revivals. Now, despite what incessant detractors have been saying, she’s proving each of them to be misguided. Withstanding all smears and great odds, Sharon has brought her family back together. All hail!
No, Sharon didn’t remarry Nick (Joshua Morrow). But he’s miraculously living under the cottage roof again. Who among all Y&R fans would have bet hard money that would have happened as of this time last year?
The mere fact that Sharon earned Nick’s trust is fully remarkable. Nick, more than anyone, recognizes the sincere efforts his first true love has made. He values Sharon’s offer for him and Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) to take refuge with her home, which was originally Shick’s. Doing so also allows Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) to be with both of her parents every single day, which is ideally proper for all children throughout human history, countering old-fashioned minds who push chaos theories about family.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) has been after Sharon for more than a decade, which is when she seduced her grieving husband. Phick’s resultant and some would say regrettable relationship fractured, but never actually broke Shick’s connection.
This always-nemesis, as recent detente wasn’t real, does not have Sharon’s best interests at heart. And what evidence proves that Phyllis is an expert on Nick either?
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has, arguably the weirdest marriage in Genoa City. Currently, she’s agreed to keep her assets co-mingled with Victor’s (Eric Braeden) and lives at the Ranch. But their business arrangement isn’t an honest union, as they sleep in separate rooms and Nikki has a secret new boyfriend named Arturo (Jason Canela).
So the idea that Nikki would question Sharon’s intentions toward Nick is absurd. Case’s character pacified her ex-mother-in-law with tea and calm conversation while these issues were discussed.
As for Vickie (Amelia Heinle), well she’s never been anyone’s relationship role model. Most recently she quickly recoupled with J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) after being wild with Billy (Jason Thompson) for what seemed like forever.
Nick’s sister thinks, like the other ladies mentioned, that he’s had a better life without Sharon. Hey Vickie, have you been watching Y&R since 2005? No, Nick has not been better off.
Like Phyllis and Nikki, Vickie’s love, care and concern for her children is not being questioned. On that topic all three ladies are beyond legitimate question (in this scribe’s opinion). Instead, Vickie’s assessment of Sharon’s impact on Nick’s life, as compared to Vickie’s on J.T.’s, or Billy’s is a good look-in-the-mirror query.
It’s obvious that Phyllis, Nikki and Vickie believe they know what’s best for Nick. Their own romantic lives are not serving as sources of claimed wisdom. Instead, each person’s emotional ideas about Sharon overwhelm the logic of who she and Nick are now. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless.
