The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the show may be dropping some huge hints. Let’s look at the clues to see if we can figure out what’s ahead for Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case). These two have had lots of big news to spill lately. It’s led to some confusion from the people they know best.
Sharon and Nick got back together, so that was one major announcement. Nick also planned on going back to Newman at one point and that brought another round of surprising updates. Finally, Nick and Sharon settled on a move to San Diego. Victor (Eric Braeden) blew that for them, but it was still something they were revealed for a while.
In the midst of all the bombshells, there were some wrong guesses. A horrified Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) implied that Sharon could be pregnant. On a separate occasion, Phyllis came to that conclusion as well. After Phyllis’ mistaken assumption, even Nick wanted to be sure there was no bun in the oven.
Of course, Sharon shut down any speculation and helped Nick share the real news in those cases. Still, it’s a bit suspicious that Y&R keeps pushing the pregnancy angle. Could Sharon actually be pregnant and not know it yet? She’d be an older mom but’s not too late to pop out one more kid.
Here’s why it’d be an interesting route to take. Victor’s (Eric Braeden) planning on taking Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) away from Nick. If that goal doesn’t work out, there’s always a chance that an Adam recast will return for his son. There have been a ton of Adam mentions thanks to all this custody drama. Many Young and the Restless fans suspect a recast could indeed be in the works.
Nick would be heartbroken if he had to give Christian up, but maybe having another child of his own would soften the blow. A “Shick” baby would also help this couple get through their current angst. It’d give them a reason to really make this reunion work. Sharon and Nick have already been talking about how much they want a future as a family. Adding a new bundle of joy would really seal the deal.
