The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, August 16, tease that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will realize she’s stuck in a jam. On Wednesday’s episode, Summer (Hunter King) reveals that she knows the truth. She’ll elaborate on Thursday’s new Y&R episode just so Phyllis is clear on what’s at stake.
Summer will insist that Phyllis slept with Nick (Joshua Morrow), so Billy (Jason Thompson) should be brought in the loop.
Phyllis will panic at the thought of blowing up her romance again. They finally got things back on track, so Phyllis won’t want to spoil all their progress. She’ll realize this could be a real deal-breaker, so she’ll plan to silence Summer immediately.
To do that, Phyllis will need some help from her hookup partner. She’ll send out an SOS and hope that Nick can assist with damage control.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick will sit down with Summer and urge her not to blab. He won’t think there’s any reason she should destroy two relationships. Sharon (Sharon Case) and Billy would be furious over this news, so Nick will wonder what it’s going to take to keep Summer quiet. He’ll write down a number on a piece of paper and hope it’ll be enough money to protect the secret.
Summer will mull everything over and enjoy watching Nick sweat. She’ll end up accepting Nick’s offer before the week wraps up, but you’d better believe this secret will come out anyway. Sooner or later, Nick and Phyllis will have to deal with the consequences of that one-night stand.
Meanwhile, Lily (Christel Khalil) will try to do what’s right. She’ll be prepared to go down for Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) death as well as the demise of her baby. However, Lily just won’t want to leave all this tension hanging in the air. She may reach out to Devon once more and beg for forgiveness.
Unfortunately, Y&R fans won’t see much progress between them. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will indeed ask the judge for the maximum sentence. Can Michael (Christian LeBlanc) convince the judge to go against Devon’s wishes or will Lily face the worst possible fate?
Either way, Lily should wiggle out of this eventually. There’s been no word about her leaving the show, so Lily won’t truly be locked up for 20 years. Even if she does some jail time, Lily should be back home before you know it.
