The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Thursday, February 1, tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) will seek answers about the cash. He’ll want to make sure Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) put it in the bank. Chelsea will suggest that everything’s been taken care of, but her nervousness will spark concern.
When Nick questions her, Chelsea will mention that she used to have a backup plan with Adam (Justin Hartley). Nick will assure Chelsea that she can always be honest with him. Later, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will provide updates on the Chelsea 2.0 drama. Chelsea will push Phyllis to fill her in when she learns more.
Meanwhile, Y&R spoilers say J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) will battle frustration. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will be too busy for him and Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) will have a bad attitude. Plus, J.T. will feel like his skills aren’t being put to good use at Chancellor. Fortunately, Phyllis will have an offer later. She’ll put J.T. to work on the Chelsea 2.0 case, so he should solve the mystery of who cloned it soon.
Elsewhere, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will vow to make Brash and Sassy a huge success. She’ll tell Lily (Christel Khalil) that her role at the company will be bigger and better. Lily will also spend some time reconnecting with Cane (Daniel Goddard). They’ll pretend they’re on a Parisian getaway and Cane will cap things off with a massage.
Lily will admit she’s still struggling with Sam, but she’ll think they can figure it out. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Cane will suggest a vow renewal to solidify their new beginning. Lily will think that sounds like an excellent idea.
Across town, Devon (Bryton James) will also have a fresh start on his mind. He’ll trick Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) into talking at Hamilton-Winters. Once Devon exits, they’ll rehash the journal ordeal and their shattered trust. After some debating, Tessa will plead for a shot at repairing the damage.
Mariah will confess that she can’t bring herself to hate Tessa. Despite the pain Tessa caused, there’s still a bond between them. Back with Ashley, she’ll be summoned for a meeting with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Ashley will be surprised to learn that Nikki and Victor’s (Eric Braeden) marriage is more of an arrangement.
Nikki will contend that if Ashley wants to reunite with Victor, it’s fine. Ashley will insist that her relationship with Victor only involves work. Nikki will note that if Ashley reconsiders, she’s welcome to pursue a romance with Victor.
