The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update and recap for Tuesday, October 9, tease that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Summer (Hunter King) will discuss the wedding disaster. They’ll go over Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) breakup as well as Billy’s (Jason Thompson) split from Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Nikki will wonder if there’s hope for a “Philly” reunion, but Summer will think Billy deserves better.
Afterward, Nikki will find a rattled Victoria (Amelia Heinle). She’ll convince her daughter to open up about the threatening note she received. Nikki will feel like a private investigator could help, but Victoria will shut down the idea. They’ll decide to just brush it off as nothing, but plans will change when Nikki gets an identical note of her own. She’ll believe this must be about J.T. (Thad Luckinbill).
At Crimson Lights, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) will do some eavesdropping and chat with Lola (Sasha Calle). She’ll eventually discover that Lola is Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) new romantic pursuit. Tessa will admit she’s not exactly a hopeless romantic, but she’s rooting for them. She’ll suggest that Lola’s a big step up from Kyle’s former flame, Summer Newman.
At Jabot, Kyle will offer a report on the boutiques Billy was pushing for. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) was planning to scrap them, but she’ll change her mind thanks to Kyle’s impressive research. When Kyle requests the COO position, Ashley will turn him down. She’ll want to leave that spot open for the time being, so Kyle will naturally be outraged.
Y&R spoilers say Ashley and Kyle will get into a heated argument. She’ll disprove of the strategies he used to knock Billy off the throne. Of course, Kyle will snap that he did Ashley’s dirty work for her. He’ll feel like sooner or later, Ashley’s manipulative side will come back to bite her.
Once Kyle delivers that cryptic warning, he’ll meet up with Lola at the coffeehouse. She’ll confess that Tessa told her about his history with Summer. Kyle will contend that it’s old news and they’ve both moved on. They’ll finish their date, but Lola will return briefly for a kiss. Nearby, a curious Summer will gape at their lip lock.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashley will want to celebrate. She’ll sit down for a meal with Neil (Kristoff St. John), but her “consultant” will interrupt. Andrew (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) will waltz over and request a moment alone with Ash. He’ll want her to double his salary, but she’ll insist that she no longer needs his services.
Andrew will note that if he’s not being paid, keeping Ashley’s secrets must not be important. She’ll look nervous as Andrew promises to contact her soon.
