The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor’s Coma Leaves Ashley in Charge at Newman Enterprises – Big Changes Arrive

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Vickie (Amelia Heinle) will be answering to Ashley (Eileen Davidson) for awhile now that Victor (Eric Braeden) is in a coma. Yes, the Ice Princess should have never tried to push Ash out of Newman Enterprises. My, oh my payback looks to be severe now.

Y&R fans were stunned to see the ‘Black Knight’ lose a fight. Yes, he got the first punch in against J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) and then a few more. But after the combatants threw each other around in the upstairs hallway at the Ranch, they reached the top of the staircase.

J.T. landed a blow that caused the Moustache to double over. The deranged head of Newman Enterprises security then pushed his boss down the stairs backwards. The visual effect of seeing Victor go fully airborne backwards was memorable.

The slow-motion scene ended with Victor lying unconscious on the foyer as J.T. stood with a stone cold killer’s glare peering down on his beaten prey. No, that wasn’t an overly gushy description. This was one of Y&R’s best fights in years!

The last three paragraphs establish Victor’s comatose state, which means Ashley Abbot is now in charge. The shivers Newman’s former Chief Operating Officer just felt were very real.

Within the last week-plus it was revealed that Vickie had conspired with Jack (Peter Bergman) to frame Ashley. Their poorly designed and executed plot blew up in both of their faces. Victor forced Vickie to accept a demotion and Jack was just served with legal papers by his half- or, possibly full-sister.

Quite a turnabout for the repressed Jabot chemist who appeared to be stuck under Jack’s thumb at their father’s company. Well, John (Jerry Douglas) may not be either character’s biological father. But that’s an additional issue to be further detailed in the near future.

Vickie only has herself to blame. Victor saved her bacon by absorbing the crashed Brash and Sassy reboot back into Newman. Then, he made her COO when she hadn’t done a thing to earn that title, or responsibility. Instead, her entitled attitude alienated everyone under her charge, including Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Lily (Christel Khalil), along with Ashley and Victor.

Davidson’s character is ready for this unexpected challenge. She’s likely to set a bold course while Braeden’s character is living in the Netherworld.

Victor allowed Ashley to attain the highest title under his own and have a seat on the Board of Directors. Due to his physical state, an Abbott is now in charge at Newman Enterprises. Wow!
