The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor’s Stroke Gives J.T. Final Opportunity For Tragic Destruction

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victor’s (Eric Braeden) stroke will allow J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) more time to behave badly in Genoa City. As the continuing transformation of a once-good character, executive producer and head writer Mal Young will wring out more odious acts from Luckinbill’s character.

This all feels a bit one-dimensional, yet it continues. Y&R fans have been asked to believe that J.T. has suddenly become amoral, wanting to assault Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and kill, yes kill, the great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Hardly outrageous and not fully unbelievable, the building tension led fans to believe that J.T. would be caught last month. Instead, his stay has been extended into spring due to Victor’s initial coma and now, a stroke that has left him unable to communicate.

J.T.’s third attempt to silence Victor provided temporary cover. For those not keeping track, the first attempt was allowing Lurch to remain unconscious at the bottom of the Ranch stairs. The second attempt saw J.T. enter Victor’s hospital room a few days ago, but fail to act. However the third attempt did the trick, as a thin rubber glove was donned and the machine attached to Victor’s body was turned off, thus causing the stroke to occur.

Cameras weren’t at the Ranch, which would have allowed Paul (Doug Davidson) to instantly see that J.T. was guilty. Cameras aren’t available in the hospital to show J.T. entering and exiting Victor’s room? Come on!

Victor will tag J.T. as his assailant the instant he’s able to convey his thoughts. Incredibly, Jack (Peter Bergman), his greatest nemesis will be freed from jail when that happens. Though Mr. Abbott is incarcerated because he hesitated before contacting the hospital after finding Victor at the Ranch. If he hadn’t looked around Mr. Newman’s abode and stuffed items into his jacket, including a backup hard drive, Jack likely never would have arrested, or jailed.

Luckinbill’s character revealed that his vendetta against Victor is fueled by what happened to Colleen (Tammin Sursok) all those years ago. Y&R’s ancient history was dredged in order to create a plausible reason for revenge.

The short shimmy for fans who don’t know involves Colleen having been killed by actions Patty (Stacy Haiduk) took. Patty was in GC because of Victor. Traci (Beth Maitland) then donated Colleen’s heart to Victor, who was in peril at that time.

J.T.’s recent conversation with Traci was ominous, yet it didn’t make him realize that Colleen would never approve of what he’s doing. By attempting to kill Victor, he’s also attacking Colleen’s actual heart. Yes, this will prove to be the most tragic mistake of J.T.’s life.
