The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) deep, dark secret is about to blow up. On next week’s new Y&R episodes, February 26-March 2, Nick (Joshua Morrow) will learn the truth about Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity. He’ll realize that Adam (Justin Hartley) is Christian’s father and Chelsea’s been keeping him out of the loop.
Once Chelsea understands that the jig is up, will she expose Victor’s (Eric Braeden) knowledge of all this? Even if Chelsea’s too fearful to spill the beans, the news will come out anyway. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) knows that Victor’s got the goods on Chelsea. She’ll obviously assume that he’s in the loop on the paternity drama.
Phyllis also hates Victor’s guts, so she’ll undoubtedly want Nick to know about his father’s deception. No matter how Victor’s role in all this is exposed, he’ll have to face Nick’s wrath. Of course, that means Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will find out as well. She should have an interesting reaction to her husband’s big secret.
Nikki might realize that she would’ve done the same thing in Victor’s shoes. She wouldn’t have wanted to crush Nick and make things more complicated for Christian when he got older. Plus, Nikki may see that Victor still cares about Nick deep down. They’ve had their fair share of issues over the last year or so, but this secret he kept is arguably proof that Victor still loves his son.
Victor has had plenty of chances to drop this bomb and completely destroy Nick’s life. He could’ve turned Nick’s world upside down and ended his romance in one fell swoop. Y&R fans know that Victor was absolutely furious with Nick, so why didn’t he use this ammunition? Victor must’ve cared on some level or else he would’ve blew things up a long time ago.
Nikki could surprise Victor by taking his side. Could this spark a new beginning for them as a couple? Their reunion has been an arrangement so far, but The Young and the Restless spoilers say real feelings will be on full display soon.
The paternity shocker will leave Nick devastated, but it could actually work out pretty well for his secretive dad. Victor’s love life could be looking up in the near future.
