The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that one soap alum has been dealt a difficult blow. Former Y&R star Sean Carrigan is no longer around as Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn in Genoa City, but he’s managed to stay busy with comedy gigs. Unfortunately, a fellow stand-up comedian and close friend of Carrigan has passed away.
Carrigan revealed the heartbreaking news on Instagram and posted a sweet pic of himself with his pal. “So sad that we lost the very funny #MikeMacdonald this past weekend,” Carrigan said. “He killed it this night back in December at @yukyukscomedy & I’ll always be honored that I got to share the stage that night with this very funny man… RIP brotha, make em laugh upstairs.”
On March 17, Mike Macdonald suffered heart complications and his doctors were unable to save him. He was only 62, so this loss came far too soon. Macdonald’s friends and family members have been forced to say goodbye to a great man. The Young and the Restless viewers are certainly sad to hear about this as well.
Fortunately, Macdonald’s memory lives on. Carrigan and Macdonald’s other comedy buddies are undoubtedly choosing to focus on the wonderful memories they made with him. It sounds like Macdonald had a joyful spirit that he loved to share with the audience. He’ll be remembered for his comic talent and ability to spread happiness.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that Stitch won’t be back in Genoa City anytime soon, but we’ll give you updates if things change. Stay tuned to Y&R and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news.
