The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Y&R Star Preps for Big Comeback – Offers Hiatus Explanation

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that one cast member is headed back to the CBS soap. Y&R fans have noticed that Ravi (Abhi Sinha) hasn’t been around lately. He went on a blind date with Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and simply dropped off the map.

Many viewers worried that Ravi might be phased out like Scott (Daniel Scott), but we’ve got some good news to pass along. Ravi’s return is near! The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ravi will get back in the action before you know it.

Sinha decided to fill Y&R watchers in on the situation. He posted an explanation on Instagram and assured everyone that Ravi isn’t gone forever. “To all those who have asked and patiently waited, Ravi will be back after a brief hiatus while his alter ego–Abhi was busy with pilot season,” Sinha said.

Sinha was hoping to score some primetime roles, but he admitted the task was tough. It seems The Young and the Restless is ahead of the pack when it comes to portraying Indian-Americans. “This past pilot season made me realize that many others in Tinsel Town are lagging behind and still stereotyping the Indian-American male character,” Sinha said. He also offered praise to Y&R for doing it right.

Sinha gushed, “Needless to say, I’m so glad to be back doing what I love and prouder to be part of a show that has been around for 45 years and broken barriers with Ravi…” It sounds like Sinha didn’t get the parts he was looking for elsewhere, but at least that means he’ll be staying in Genoa City. Plenty of Y&R fans are happy to hear that.

What could the show be cooking up for Ravi? Will he meet a new love interest or make a shocking career move? The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that some surprises are coming up, so stay tuned. Ravi should face a few curveballs soon enough!

Not only has there been a tremendous evolution of the character, but to pair him with an older white established star was revolutionary and progressive.
