The Nazis took Cleopatra to Casablanca. It was their last known location and both Danny and Lexi knew they needed to get there before Farouk, but for some reason, they didn’t leave right away. They waited because Lexi needed information. She found out from Simon Hardwick that her father was in the Brotherhood of Serapis and so now she needed answers. Lexi couldn’t push their tip because she didn’t want Danny to suspect anything and that meant they had to leave. They flew to Casablanca and they ran into a few people they shouldn’t have. It seems that Interpol was onto to the pair of them and so their assets have been frozen. And Gwen showed up ready to arrest Lexi for leaving the EU without permission.

It was part of the terms of her release. Lexi really should have remembered that before and Danny for one should have kept Gwen in the loop, but they both failed to follow orders. Now Interpol doesn’t trust them. Gwen also heard about what happened in Spain and so she planned on the arresting the pair when someone else got in her way. Carlo, their favorite mob boss from Italy, had also showed up in Casablanca because he blamed the treasure hunters for the death of his son. His son died in the shootout in Spain and he wanted revenge. Carlo wasn’t thinking rationally when he after Lexi and Danny and he wanted to kill them for what Farouk’s men did. It had been the terrorist that started shooting first and so they were only ones to blame for what happened.

But no one cared what either Danny or Lexi thought. They were being hunted by two groups in a small area and so they hid in the only place they could hide. They hid in the United Nations Refugee Camp. There they at least met much nicer people. Someone even warned them that the camps were going to be searched and so they had enough time to leave, but they met a doctor who had information. There was a woman named Aya and she was wearing a necklace based on a design from Cleopatra’s tomb. They asked Aya about it and she said a man named Salim Le Mer sells them. He’s been selling necklaces for years and so he must know who had the original design. There was just one problem with meeting Salim and that was his ever present guards.

The guards protecting Salim wouldn’t allow anyone to pass them. So the pair hung around Salim’s club as they tried to figure out how to get a meeting with the man himself and luckily they ran into their old friend Shaw. Shaw was now giving the “Casablanca” experience for money. He works for Salim and odds are he’s unaware that Salim’s his unofficial pimp. Danny and Lexi had a few laughs about that one, but they soon returned to business. They asked Shaw to assist them and they said he could get part of the finder’s fee for Cleopatra. The money was what grabbed his interest and he was willing to make introductions. Unfortunately for him, once Salim heard about Cleopatra, he thought that Shaw and his men should go with Danny and Lexi to go collect the lost queen. And so this newly expanded group went to the woman who created the necklaces for Salim.

The woman they found had been open with them. She said that her own father had been obsessed with the symbol. He was a port worker with her uncle and one night they both came home to suddenly do construction. They worked into the early morning and afterwards it was revealed they built a counter. Then the brothers began arguing every minute until one day they killed each other. Danny and Lexi realized that the curse must have gotten to them and they also suspected that Cleopatra was hidden in the counter. Only Gwen showed up and she began arresting everyone, so Danny had to talk fast. He convinced Gwen to help him dismantle the counter and inside they found Cleopatra’s sarcophagus, but the actual sarcophagus had been empty.

It seems the tale of the brothers went a little differently than Danny thought. The brothers accepted the sarcophagus as payment because they must have thought the gold was far more valuable than genuine tomb, but then they began arguing about how to sell it and that’s when they killed each other. The tale of the brothers may have ended differently, only it didn’t mean it had to be the end of everything. Danny proposed that they leak the information about finding Cleopatra. They let Farouk think they have it and he’ll come for it. It was supposed to be a trap and so Gwen decided to forgive Danny and Lexi for their earlier transgressions. She was even going to let them sit in on the sting and it was Danny that decided to cut Lexi out.

Danny knew that Lexi was keeping secrets and so he checked her burner phone when she wasn’t looking. He saw for himself that she’s been spying on him for someone. Danny later confronted Lexi and demanded to know who her real partner was, but Lexi wouldn’t say so Danny cut her out of the mission. He couldn’t trust her and he told Gwen as much. The two of them were going to catch Omar (Farouk’s second in command) together and what no one counted on was Carlo’s men showing up. They tried to kill Omar when they saw him and so Interpol had to rescue then apprehend Omar. Omar almost escaped them, but they caught them in the end because Lexi showed up and tried to help.

Funnily enough, Lexi didn’t stick around when they actually arrested Omar and so no one knew where she went.

Danny meanwhile was arrested and taken back to the FBI. He even befriended Carlo during their detainment together and that wasn’t all. But before they left Morocco, Lexi suddenly turned herself in and she was being transported with all the others including Danny.

THE END!
