Abby has decided not to pass out jackets to the kids after a rough night. She wanted it to be a joyous occasion but her friend Diana was put in a medically induced coma. After talking to the kids and moms she changes her mind. Lilli gets the first jacket. Pressley becomes the second official team member with a jacket. This week they are traveling to New Jersey for the New York dance experience. The solos go to Presley and Hannah. For the group routine, Abby has invited some additional dancers. She tells the team it is to have them audition but its really since Elyana is out.
As the new kids come in to audition the other mothers critique them quietly from the sidelines. All of the kids take the floor to learn the choreography. After practice, Abby sends a handful of kids home with the rest due to come back the next day.
Hannah practices her dark solo. Abby watches along with the other kids and mothers. Some of the mothers are angry Hannah has been given solos so many times. After her practice run, Hannah cries when Abby tells her she did a bad job.
Pressley takes the floor next. Abby tears into her for sickled feet. Ann brings her son into the rehearsal and asks Abby to critique his dancing. Ashley gets angry because it is taking time away from Pressley’s performance.
Its down to Paris and Berkleigh the next day at practice. Both need additional work. The mothers all get upset.
The team arrives in NJ. They come out with their costumes on. Pressley doesn’t have on the costume she is supposed to be wearing. Abby is angry. Ashley doesn’t think her kid doesn’t need to be covered up. Abby explains that this has nothing to do body and feet, its about the choreography. Abby gives up. Pressley needs to go out there then and prove herself.
Hannah takes the stage first to perform her solo. Abby shakes her head during the dance. Hannah comes off the stage upset.
Pressley takes the stage next. She feels like she did a great job. Backstage, Abby tells them she needs to leave. Diana is not doing well.
The group practices for their piece in just a few minutes and they are having timing issues. Paris starts crying. They head out on stage. They do a great job.
The awards are announced. Hannah comes in at 10th place for her solo. Pressley takes 4th place. The group lands first place.
