Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there’s some sad news to pass along. The Days family is dealing with a tough loss. Bettina Bradbury was a script writer at DOOL from 2007-2008. She helped put some great stories on the air before Bradbury and Days parted ways. Unfortunately, Bradbury’s loved ones faced a devastating blow when she recently died at the age of 63.
Bradbury’s son, Danny Karapetian, issued a statement about her passing on his mom’s Facebook page. He wanted to let Bradbury’s fans and friends know that she was gone. “It is my very sad duty to report that my Mom Bettina passed away…She was an indefatigable force of nature, a talented and decorated writer, and a loving mother, sister, and friend to everyone she knew.”
Karapetian went to talk about the love Bradbury had for the people who cared about her. He asked for anyone who had a story about Bradbury to share one. Those closest to her undoubtedly want to keep Bradbury’s memory alive in any way they can. Her writing will last forever and so will those stories, so that should bring comfort during this difficult time.
Karapetian also encouraged anybody who knew Bradbury or supported her work to reflect on the good. It’s easy to get caught up in sorrow, so that’s a great reminder. “Remember her for her humor, her hugs, and the eternal optimism she endowed in her family, colleagues, friends, fans, and children,” Karapetian said. “She will be missed, and her absence is already deeply felt. Love you Mom, forever.”
If Bradbury’s name sounds familiar and you don’t recall her work on Days of Our Lives, perhaps you know her father’s writing. Ray Bradbury was certainly a famous sci-fi author, but he also happened to be Bettina Bradbury’s dad. However, his daughter made quite a name for herself – especially in the soap world.
Before she began her stint at Days, Bradbury wrote for Capitol, Santa Barbara, As the World Turns, One Life to Live and All My Children. She racked up many awards, including three Daytime Emmys. DOOL viewers certainly give her family as well as the Days family their condolences.
