Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some sad news to report about a popular DOOL star. Chrishell Hartley, who portrays Jordan Ridgeway on the NBC soap, recently shared with her fans that her father has passed away. Chrishell’s father had cancer and finally lost his battle with the terrible disease on Easter Sunday.
Chrishell posted a vintage photograph of her father on Instagram along with the following caption: “We lost you today but it was a long terrible battle with cancer that started taking you years ago. I choose to remember you the way you were before it took its hold on you. You are at peace now and ever the Catholic man at heart, I think you chose Easter for a reason.”
She continued: “I grew up in an unconventional family and my dad was a drummer – the heartbeat of the music. Today we lost the heartbeat of our family but I am happy knowing he took his music to heaven. It just got a lot more rock and roll up there. We love you so much.”
Chrishell’s followers have responded to her post in droves to offer their condolences to her and her family on this sad day. One fan wrote: “Sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom 4 years ago on Easter night.” And another said: “Thinking of you on this bittersweet holiday.”
Many of Chrishell’s soap star friends and co-stars also replied to her announcement with their heartfelt wishes. Farah Fath (Mimi Lockhart, DOOL) commented: “Oh no. My condolences, Chrishell. Will be thinking of you during this difficult time.” And Kelly Kruger (Mackenzie Browning, Y&R) said: “I’m so sorry Chrishell. We are sending so much love to you and your family.”
Gilles Marini (Ted Laurent, DOOL) weighed in as well. He replied: “I’m so sorry, sweetheart. RIP papa.” Chrishell seems to have a great deal of support among her peers, which should be of great comfort to her and her family in the wake of this terrible loss.
