Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Will Horton’s (Chandler Massey) condition is going to deteriorate rapidly. Will’s got a debilitating and growing brain tumor that’s a side-effect from Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (William Utay) memory serum. As his condition gets worse, everyone will prepare for the worst. Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) and his family will be by his side and praying for a miracle.
Well, according to DOOL spoilers, a miracle is exactly what they’ll get. But first Will is going to give everyone a huge scare. After Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) forks over Dr. Rolf’s diary with the serum formula in it, Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will get to work on an antidote for Will. But they’ll have to work fast, as time is of the essence.
As it turns out, right as Sarah and Rex are formulating an antidote that they hope will work, Will’s condition is going to go downhill fast, and his body will be on the verge of giving out. In a dramatic turn of events, Will is going to go into cardiac arrest, to everyone’s horror.
But at that moment, Rex will swoop in to administer the antidote, and there will be some seriously tense moments as everyone waits and wonders whether the antidote will work, or whether they got it to Will too late to save his life. At the same time, Will is going to have an out-of-body experience, where he heads toward the “white light.”
But as he prepares to literally walk right into the afterlife, he’ll encounter his Great-Grandma Caroline Brady (Peggy McCay). He’ll hear her voice, and she’ll tell him that it’s not yet his time to go and that he should fight to live. And at that moment, Will is going to make a miraculous recovery and awaken to Sonny and his family.
Afterwards, Will is going to tell his family about his out-of-this-world interaction with his Great Grandmother, which will puzzle everyone, since they’ll be under the impression that Caroline is still alive. Both Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Sami DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will assume that Will must have been dreaming or hallucinating as a result of the mediations or the antidote.
But according to DOOL spoilers, everyone will soon learn that Caroline has indeed passed on. In a poignant moment, Caroline’s family will realize that she probably did become apparent to Will as he nearly died, and that she’s responsible for urging him to fight and stay with them. It will be Caroline’s final gift to her family.
So although it will be a sad time as Caroline passes on, it seems that some happiness and touching moments will come from it, as Will survives his ordeal.
