Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Hope Hernandez (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) are headed for trouble. These two unfortunately haven’t enjoyed much happiness in their marriage. Shortly after they were married, Hope learned that Rafe had slept with Sami DiMera (Alison Sweeney), and it took months for Rafe to get back into Hope’s good graces.
But Sami has continued to be an issue in their marriage. And now Rafe has just left the country to help Sami with her kids while she tends to an ailing EJ DiMera (James Scott). Hope is beyond upset with Rafe, as it seems that he always runs to help Sami.
Because of his actions with respect to Sami, Hope puts a lot of blame on Rafe for their marital friction. But Hope’s not without fault in the marriage. Her actions regarding Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) are causing a lot of problems in “Rope’s” marriage as well.
Hope’s been obsessed with putting Ben behind bars, and that has propelled her to do some things outside the scope of the law…which is a problem, since she is the police commissioner. She’s even teamed up with smarmy lawyer Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) to bring down Ben.
Her partnership with Ted has led Hope into trouble with Rafe. Hope had to keep her association with Ted secret, since it wasn’t by the book, and Rafe didn’t like it. He especially doesn’t like it that Hope and Ted seem to be getting closer, and that Ted clearly has a thing for Hope.
According to Days spoilers, Hope and Ted will continue to associate while Rafe is in Europe with Sami. And they’re going to do more than just talk and work to nail Ben. A Days of our Lives promo shows Ted planting a big kiss on Hope, so it looks like Rafe was right to be worried.
Could Hope be developing feelings for Ted? She certainly has spent more screen time with Ted than with Rafe lately, and she’s finding Ted to be much more sympathetic about her quest to put Ben away than Rafe is. It looks like we could be headed toward a Hope/Ted affair soon.
Whether Hope and Ted share more than just a kiss remains to be seen, but it certainly looks like we’re headed for more trouble in Hope and Rafe’s marriage. If Rafe finds out about Hope and Ted’s kiss, it’s going to be a bad scene, and there will be hell to pay. Could we be looking at a Rope divorce looming?
