Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will have to make a difficult decision. After he returned with Jordan Ridgeway’s (Chrishell Hartley) baby boy, Lani Price (Sal Stowers) pushed Rafe to keep him. That may be partly so she can stay close to him since Lani will quickly grow attached to little David. However, Lani will also believe Rafe’s the right man to play Papa.
Jordan doesn’t want her son going into the system, so handing him over to someone she trusts is ideal. Plus, Rafe has always wanted kids. A baby isn’t exactly convenient right now and won’t really fit in Hope Hernandez’s (Kristian Alfonso) life, but their marriage is fading fast anyway. It looks like Rafe will just feel this is something he has to do.
Rafe cares about Jordan and her needs, so this arrangement would work out best for her. Perhaps Jordan could enjoy some mother-son visits while she’s locked up in Bayview. Jordan needs therapy and the proper meds to get better, so she’ll be stuck there for a while. Rafe may promise her that he’ll be waiting with David when she’s fully recovered.
Days spoilers say Hope will get updates on Rafe’s choice next week. She won’t be happy about it, but it seems Rafe’s moving full-speed ahead with fatherhood. This could pave the way for Jordan and Rafe’s reunion down the road. Hartley has been filming with Gering quite a bit lately. They’ve been spotted on a house set, so we could see them step up as parents together once Jordan’s released.
Hartley’s pretty busy, which could mean she’ll just appear in bursts or from time to time. That works for many other Days of Our Lives stars and characters, so it could work for her, too. We don’t see Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) and Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) very much, but we know they’re a solid couple in Salem. Even if Jordan isn’t always around, it’d be easy for DOOL to build a romance with Rafe.
It’s not like there’s a lot of love happening between Hope and Rafe right now, so anything would be an improvement! Days of Our Lives spoilers say some “Jafe” family drama could hit the screen several months from now, so stay tuned. We’ll keep you posted as other Days news comes in.
