Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lani Price (Sal Stowers) will soon have the people who love her quite concerned. Lani and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) are in a great place right now and are very much in love. They are enjoying each other and seem to have a nice, carefree romance going. They’ve really come a long way since losing their infant son, David Abraham Grant, last year.
But according to Days of Our Lives spoilers, something’s going to happen in their lives that will alter things quite a bit. Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will go on a mission to track down Jordan Ridgeway’s (Chrishell Hartley) baby in California. Of course, Jordan is currently committed at Bayview and isn’t able to take care of her baby.
So once Rafe brings the baby boy, also named David, back to Salem, it looks like it will become a police matter and there will be a question concerning who will care for the baby.
As one of Rafe’s fellow police detectives, Lani and Eli will be on the case. They’ll meet baby David, and as soon as they do, Lani’s maternal instincts will kick in. It looks like she’ll grow immediately attached to the baby and will want to help care for him until the matter of who will permanently care for him is settled.
But Lani’s attachment to David will seem a bit worrisome to the people around her. It looks like baby David will be around the same age as Lani and Eli’s baby would be if he had survived, and of course they share the same name.
This, plus Lani’s protective behavior toward the baby will make both Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Eli concerned. They won’t want her to get so attached that it’s devastating for her when the baby is placed in a permanent home.
Plus, they’ll worry that Lani is projecting her feelings toward her own baby onto baby David, and they’ll wonder if that’s really good for Lani, or for anyone involved in the situation. According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, it will become clear just how protective she’s getting of David when she refuses to let Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), David’s uncle, see him.
Abe and Eli will likely try to talk to Lani about her behavior, but chances are she won’t see any problem with her wanting what’s best for Jordan’s baby. Lani may even start to wonder whether she and Eli might be an appropriate surrogate family for David, and this could result in some devastation for Lani, as DOOL spoilers say that Rafe will ultimately decide that he should be the one to care for David,
