Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Leo Starke’s (Greg Rikaart) worst nightmare will arrive in Salem. His loathed mother will show up thanks to John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) digging, so this is sure to throw Leo for a loop. It sounds like Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) could have the upper hand soon enough.
Judith Chapman is known for her role as Anjelica Deveraux, which she reprised in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance on Halloween. However, Days decided to switch things up and let Chapman play Diana Cooper. She’s Mom to Matthew Cooper, who now goes by Leo and has been Sonny’s tormentor for quite some time.
It seems Diana views Leo as a giant disappointment. DOOL fans can’t blame her for that since Leo’s a sleazy con artist! Leo also claims Diana only cares about herself, so maybe she’s not exactly faultless either. Leo may have learned his horrible behavior from Diana growing up. At the very least, Diana probably wasn’t around to give Leo much structure or support.
Whatever the case, it’s clear that Leo hates his mother more than anything. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Leo will be deeply disturbed when Diana walks back into his life. It turns out Diana is a former flame of John’s as well, so that’ll be another surprising story connection.
Diana Cooper may actually be Diana Colville (last played by Genie Francis), who fell for John back when everyone thought he was Roman Brady (now played by Josh Taylor). Days spoilers state that Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will bump into Diana on January 31. They’ll have a tense exchange, but it’ll ultimately lead to an emotional plea. On February 1, Marlena will beg Diana to help get Leo out of the picture.
Days of Our Lives viewers know Marlena only wants the best for her grandson. She wants to see Will happy and only Sonny can make that happen. Of course, Leo is standing in the way of a real reunion. Will and Sonny are stuck sneaking around until they can find a solution to this problem. They’re hoping Diana will be that solution, but she won’t be if she doesn’t cooperate.
That’s why Marlena will hope she can get Diana on board. She’ll urge this manipulative mother to scheme against her son in the name of love! Marlena will insist that Leo must be stopped, but will Diana agree? She apparently doesn’t get along with Leo, but she may not be eager to take orders from Marlena.
After all, Marlena will be Diana’s rival for John’s affection. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Diana will want John back, so “Jarlena” will face even more drama.
