Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will have to face his feelings. He just considers Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) to be a good friend at the moment, but that could change thanks to her ex’s arrival. As Eric and Sarah finally start to surrender to their feelings, Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) will return and make this a love triangle.
Sarah was deeply hurt by Rex’s actions, but his pull may remain strong. She truly loved him before his cheating was revealed and their engagement went down in flames. Sarah may be tempted to try again, even if she knows she could be opening herself up to more pain.
Rex will seek Eric’s assistance in winning Sarah back, so that’ll really complicate things. Eric will have to decide if he’s going to help or hinder his brother’s plan. However, it seems likely that Eric will win Sarah’s heart in the end. Why? To provide more conflict when Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) returns to Salem!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Nicole’s comeback will turn Eric’s world upside down. He currently believes his soul mate is dead, so what will he do she walks back into his life? Ron Carlivati, DOOL’s head writer, offered some intriguing hints in the new issue of Soap Opera Digest.
Carlivati explained that Nicole’s mini “death” arc came about for two reasons. Zucker wasn’t really available much at that time, but Eric still needed a way to move on. The solution was to bring Nicole back for a short-term stint and “kill” her.
Later, Zucker cleared out her schedule a bit and her return got underway. “I’m very excited at the certainty that Nicole is going to come back onto the canvas,” Carlivati said. “How exactly that happens, and where she has been, and how it will impact Eric’s life will be answered.”
There are definitely some interesting mysteries wrapped up in this storyline. Since Days already took the amnesia route with Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), they may not go for that again. It’d be more dramatic if Nicole willingly let Eric believe she was dead anyway.
Nicole might’ve thought it’d be better to disappear and let Eric raise Holly Jonas (Harlow and Scarlett Mallory). By the time Nicole changes her mind, Eric and Sarah may already have a blissful family. If Eric scores custody, Days of Our Lives spoilers say they could end up raising Holly together.
Eric will welcome the sight of an alive and well Nicole, but choosing an “Ericole” reunion may not be as easy as it seems. Nicole’s going to want the family they dreamed of, but will she get it?
