Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Thursday, May 16, tease that the election results will cause chaos in Salem. Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) will be declared Salem’s next mayor, but that’ll only be the first shocker of the day. It won’t be long until Hope Hernandez (Kristian Alfonso) is fired, so that’ll cause quite an uproar at the Salem PD.
Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) will show his support by stepping down as district attorney. He was only using that position to get closer to Hope anyway! Meanwhile, the news about Jack’s victory will spread. You can bet Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) will fume over this surprising development. She was hoping Abe Carver (James Reynolds) would win, but Jack’s last-minute stunt clearly pulled him ahead.
While Jack immediately goes on a power trip, Melinda Trask (Laura Kai Chen) will explain her latest bombshell. She just blurted out that Haley Chen (Thia Megia) is her daughter, not her sister. Haley won’t understand how this could possibly be true, so Melinda will share the story behind her lengthy lie. She’ll be sorry for deceiving Haley, but she’ll at least want to come clean now and try to help.
Unfortunately, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Melinda won’t be able to stop Haley’s deportation. As a result, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) will run off with Haley when ICE agents aren’t looking. They’ll make a quick getaway, so that’ll bring plenty more problems for the lovestruck duo.
Other Days spoilers state that Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) will get some comfort. Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) just dumped her for good, so Claire will really need a shoulder to cry on. It turns out Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) will be the one who steps up. Whether Ciara knows the whole story or now, she’ll know Claire’s in pain. That’ll be enough for kindhearted Ciara to reach out and soothe her.
Dr. Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will also rush to Claire’s defense in Thursday’s DOOL episode. Days of Our Lives spoilers say she won’t approve of what Claire did, but she’ll get why she did it. Kayla might encourage Tripp to see Claire’s side of the situation. She may think Claire needs to open up to a shrink and explore her obvious issues.
