Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) is going to face total devastation, but that won’t stop her feisty side from showing through in the face of tragedy. The new DOOL promo for the week of October 7 to October 11 is all about Gabi’s terrible loss and how she handles herself in the hours following Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) shooting at the hands of Lani Price (Sal Stowers).
Of course, Stefan’s shooting was a complete accident, as Lani couldn’t have predicted that Stefan would come along and fling himself in the path of the bullet that was meant for his mother, Vivian Alamain (Robin Strasser). Vivian was in the process of trying to shoot Lani, so Lani didn’t have a choice but to defend herself and return fire.
But none of that changes the fact that Stefan is now brain dead and being kept alive by life support machines. In the promo, Gabi is shown tearfully addressing a lifeless Stefan at the hospital, wondering aloud how she’s going to be able to let go of him. She’ll hold her husband and spend some sad moments alone with him, as she tries to process what’s happened. It will be pure tragedy for Gabi.
But, as the promo points out, this is Days of Our Lives, so viewers can expect Gabi to be Gabi and seriously lash out. No doubt she’ll let Lani have it for her role in causing Stefan’s condition. It also seems that Gabi will totally balk when the family of Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) decides that they want to have Stefan’s heart transplanted into Julie. Of course, this will be a delicate matter, and various people will ultimately talk to Gabi about the very timely need to make a decision.
But Gabi won’t want to just pull the plug on her new husband. And who can blame her, really? After all, Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) is currently in Salem, and he seems to be able to bring just about anyone back from the dead. According to DOOL spoilers, Gabi will seek out Rolf and demand that he find a way to save Stefan. Unfortunately, it looks like the damage done by the bullet will be too extensive for even Rolf to revive Stefan.
Well, it seems that even so, Gabi will be reluctant to give Stefan’s heart to Julie. She’s shown in the promo defiantly telling Julie’s family that if they want Stefan’s heart, they’ll have to beg for it. And it seems that’s exactly what will happen. According to DOOL spoilers, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will plead with Gabi, as will Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) and Will Horton. But it seems that no one will be able to convince Gabi to take Stefan off life support.
Then Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will step in to have a talk with his sister. Ultimately, he’ll be the one to convince Gabi to give Julie and her family the gift of life, but she’ll put up quite the fight before she gets to that point, and DOOL viewers will see plenty of drama getting there.
