General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ava Jerome (Maura West) may be drawn to a familiar face in the coming weeks. Of course, Ava’s currently in no shape to start a new relationship, after finding out that the man she knew as “Kevin Collins” was actually Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). Since returning from the big reveal about Ryan in Niagara Falls, Ava has been drowning her sorrows in vodka and berating nearly everyone who tries to help her.
But she did show a bit of compassion lately for someone unexpected. When Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) attacked Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) on the pier, a drunk Ava intervened and stopped the attack. She noted that while Kevin certainly isn’t blameless in the whole situation, he isn’t the one who attacked and murdered innocent people. And in her own “Ava” way, she tried to get Kevin to GH for medical attention, indicating that on some level, she cares about him.
Now, that’s not to say that Ava is going to immediately become attached to Kevin, but it seems that there’s at least a possibility that the two could become a GH couple down the road. Why? Well, they share some important things in common. For one, they are both outcasts.
Ava has been the town pariah for a while, and now Kevin is experiencing backlash for concealing Ryan’s existence. They might find comfort in each other when no one else will have anything to do with them.
Also, both Ava and Kevin are victims of Ryan, and they could bond on those grounds. Sure, Ava may be prickly toward Kevin for a while because his carelessness ultimately allowed Ryan to escape. But we think there’s a good chance that Ava will forgive Kevin for that, especially since Ava also blames herself somewhat for Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) murder.
Of course, there’s still Laura Webber (Genie Francis) standing in the way of an eventual Ava-Kevin pairing, but as each day goes by, it looks more and more like Laura is going to leave Kevin. She’s absolutely horrified that Kevin kept Ryan’s existence a secret from her, and it’s totally up in the air whether she’ll be able to forgive him.
If Laura and Kevin do go their separate ways, Kevin will be more isolated than ever, and that may open him up to a possible friendship/relationship with Ava. You never know what could happen on GH, and we wouldn’t be too surprised if TPTB go with an Ava-Kevin pairing down the road.
Plus, if it turns out that Ryan is still alive and out there somewhere, it would absolutely enrage him to find out that his brother has taken up with his “goddess” Ava.
