General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a familiar face is headed back to Port Charles. Earlier this month, Leslie Charleson (Monica Quartermaine) posted pics of Brad Maule (ex-Dr. Tony Jones) visiting the GH set. Ryan Carnes (Lucas Jones) was also featured in some of the photos on EW (see below), so fans wondered if Lucas might be getting a ghostly visit from his adoptive father.
Charleson apparently realized she was giving away a hot scoop, so she deleted her social media messages quickly. However, the Internet is forever! People already had screenshots and were busy speculating about the reason for Tony’s popup. Tony died in 2006, but the grave can’t prevent appearances in PC.
Luckily, Charleson’s posts were indeed hinting at Maule’s big comeback. Entertainment Weekly recently confirmed the return, so this is fantastic news. It’s always fun when a character from the past shows up, even if it’s just for one episode. GH writers are definitely going to pack an emotional punch. Lucas will need some advice from his adoptive dad this November, so Tony will do his best to help.
General Hospital spoilers say Lucas will get some information that really leaves him struggling. He’ll find out Julian Jerome (William deVry) has been blackmailing Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), so Tony will appear and let Lucas spill his sorrows. Of course, it doesn’t sound like Lucas will know anything close to the whole story. He’d be a lot less worried about Julian’s blackmail if he knew Brad stole Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) child!
Even so, Julian’s blackmail blow will sting. Lucas thought they were making major progress in their relationship, but this will be a stunning setback. It could also affect what Julian decides to do moving forward.
Why should Julian let Brad look like the victim here? Brad’s tossed around threats of his own. He’s tried to get Julian to commit murder on more than one occasion, so let’s not pretend Brad’s any better. Nevertheless, the situation will be complicated. Telling the whole truth would get Julian in worse trouble and break Lucas’ heart. There’s also the matter of what Julian’s holding over Brad’s head, which will certainly be a question for Lucas.
In other words, Lucas has plenty to sort out and Tony is just the person to pitch in. General Hospital spoilers say some exciting drama’s ahead, so stay tuned.
