General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will inevitably face some relationship issues. GH hasn’t been showing much of Chase and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), but that’ll change as we get closer to the big reveal about “Wiley Cooper-Jones” (Erik and Theo Olson). The writers are already laying the groundwork for the problems Willow and Chase might face.
Chase has talked to Willow about their family plans on more than one occasion. They’re obviously not ready to take that step yet, but they both want children someday. Will Willow change her mind after the truth about “Wiley” is revealed? It’s definitely going to be a game-changer when Willow realizes the baby she gave birth to dead.
Willow has been bonding with “Wiley” as if he were her own. In some ways, it’ll be like she’s grieving two losses: the loss of the son she never got a chance to know and the loss of “Wiley” – a son that was never hers at all. Willow may find it difficult to even think about having more kids after facing blows like this. Her view could certainly change in time, but it could be something she decides to be honest with Chase about initially.
It’s easy to imagine Willow acting like children just aren’t in the cards for her now. She might argue that she couldn’t bear to deal with this kind of loss again. Willow may not want to risk it and might tell Chase so he knows what he’s getting himself into. She wouldn’t want to give him false hope about fatherhood.
Of course, that could be a deal-breaker for Chase, who’ll surely be bonding with his adorable niece soon. General Hospital fans know Chase is excited to meet Violet Barnes (Jophielle Love) and spend some time with her. The more Chase gets to know Violet, the more he’s going to want a kid of his own.
Plus, Willow will likely grow closer to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) after “Wiley” is revealed as Jonah Corinthos. Michael may assure Willow that she can still be part of “Wiley’s” life. The fact that they don’t have a blood connection won’t matter to Michael. It’s not like Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) is capable of being the mother Jonah needs her to be, so Willow could still play that role.
So what happens once Willow potentially drifts away from Chase and toward Michael? It’s reasonable to assume Chase will be paired with someone else, but who will the lucky lady be? There’s no shortage of options for Chase. Michael and Chase might trade significant others! If Michael winds up being paired with Willow as expected, that could leave Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) for Chase.
Then again, Brook Lynn Ashton (Amanda Setton) is back in town. It might be interesting to see what Chase and Brook Lynn’s chemistry looks like. There’s also Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), who’ll undoubtedly find herself single after Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) horrible secrets blow up. Maybe a Chase and Maxie would be a nice match.
Who do you want to see Chase with? Do you think Willow’s his perfect match or are you open to some other options? General Hospital spoilers say some great drama’s ahead no matter what!
